Finally, he lifts his gaze to meet Zev’s. The smile that they share is sexy but also, familiar. They look at each other in the way that only a bonded pair who’ve been in love for years can.
“How about we cross the line at the same time?” Jackson offers.
“It’s my favorite happy ending.” Finally, Zev tightens his hands in Asher’s golden hair and starts to fuck his face in long thrusts. “F-fuck, I’m…”
Jackson’s thrusts become more erratic as well. He’s still pushing Asher like a puppet in and out of me, and Asher’s clenching his hands as he struggles not to come.
I massage his corded shoulders in comfort.
“Come, Ash,” Jackson says. “You’re our good Beta.”
Triggered by these words, Asher stiffens and comes.
He’s still caught between the two Alphas, however, who passionately lean over him and kiss, while he’s convulsing beneath them.
It’s like being trapped in a snowstorm.
But I’m not scared because I’m ice.
Then both the Alphas come, as their twin groans are caught in the kiss.
A sense of belonging like a warm blanket settles around all of us through the bond.
We belong to each other, even Asher.
Now, we’ve trusted each other to lower our final masks.
Independently, we’re brave resistance members and freedom fighters.
We have until New Year’s Eve to plan how to free ourselves.
CHAPTER 20
Coach’s Room, Blade Estate
I shiver, clasping Cygnus’ hand tightly in mine. I lean into his side, enjoying the feel of his cashmere coat and knowing that he equally needs to be anchored by my strength as well.
It’s New Year’s Eve and the evening of the Alpha Cup finals.
It’s also the night that everything is going to change for the Blades. The night that I save these men who have smelled like mine for so long.
Who I love.
Yet our Head Alpha has no idea. He’s coiled tight with excitement and nerves. All his attention is on the game.
He’s always been so focused on winning hockey that he’s missed that we’re playing to win something bigger.
And that means he’s going to lose.
I hope.
I bite my lip and tighten my hold on Cygnus’ hand. He shoots me a reassuring smile, even though I can feel the slight tremble running through him.
He’s holding it together better than I thought he would.
It’s intimidating to be standing in the coach’s room in Blade Arena.
We’re standing to the side of the room, leaning against the wall next to the window. The drapes are pulled closed against the snowy night.
