She looks at me confused so I continue, “So you know Nick cheated on me and I was a complete wreck for a month straight. Well, one night Caleigh dragged me out of bed and basically forced me to get out of the house. She dressed me up and we went to one of her clients' beach house for a party.” She is sipping on her drink looking at me intrigued. “We met a guy at the party. He let us smoke with him. One thing led to another and all three of us hooked up in one of the guest bedrooms.” Her mouth drops “Yeah, but that’s not all. Me and Caleigh ended up hooking up again… and again.”

Her eyes are huge and I wait for her to respond, “So, wait, are you and Caleigh a thing now?” She downs the rest of her drink.

“Well, see that's the thing. I thought we were. We agreed we would try it out. Maybe hook up with some guys together again, but now she is being all snippy with me. Nick ended up stopping by the bookstore last night, said he wanted to talk.” The waitress comes up and hands us another shot of Jose. We throw them back and I continue, “I told him we had nothing to talk about and that I had moved on with someone else. I ended up telling her that and she seemed like she was upset about it.”

“Oh wow. Why would she be upset about that? I figured she would be happy.”

I shrug and say “I'm not sure. The only thing I can think of is, she's scared. Maybe she doesn’t feel the same way and me telling someone that I found someone is insinuating that we are in a relationship. God Hallon, I really think I screwed our friendship up.” I look up at her and she's looking at me with sympathy.

“I don’t think you did. You two have been best friends practically your whole lives. You will get through this. You just need to talk to her.”

I nod my head. “Yeah, you are right. I will try tomorrow.”

The speakers start to blare Hotel Room Service by Pitbull. Hallon jumps up and yells over the music, "I love this song!” She grabs me by the hand and pulls me up to go to the dance floor.

I decide I am going to push my thoughts of Cal to the back of my mind and enjoy my night. I will worry about it tomorrow.

We start dancing on each other like we normally do, and a few minutes later I feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn around and it's Nick. What the fuck.

“What are you doing here Nick?”

He grabs my hand and tries to dance with me. “I want to talk El.” If I were sober, I would argue with him and tell him no, but Jose is winning this time.

I turn to Hallon, “Hey, I will be right back. Will you be okay out here by yourself?”

She gives Nick an eat shit look then turns back to me. “Yeah, I’ll be fine. You be careful and let me know if you need anything.” I nod and pull Nick by the hand to the hallway that leads to the exit.

We walk out into the alley and he props up against the building. This may be alcohol talking but he looks good tonight. He has short dark hair and crystal blue eyes. He’s wearing a black collared shirt, that is a tight fit. It makes his arms look huge and the black ink on his arms pop. I look further down and his dark jeans fit him snug in the right spot. I realize I am checking him out and snap my eyes back up his face and he is staring at me with a slight smirk. I've been caught.

I clear my throat “Start talking Nick. I don’t have all night.”

“I noticed you didn’t have your boyfriend with you tonight. Where is he?” Fuck. Do I tell him the truth or lie? I go with a lie.

“He is out of town.”

He shakes his head and smiles again. “How would he feel about you out here dressed like this?” He says as he lifts his hand and puts his fingers under the lace on my shirt, and tugs.

I stutter, “I uh… He doesn’t care what I wear. I am out with Hallon. He knows that.”

He nods and steps a little closer. “I miss you El. I’m sorry. Amber didn’t mean anything to me. I cut it off with her as soon as everything went down.” He moves his hand to pull me in by the waist and uses the other to cup my face, rubbing his thumb along my jaw. I feel warm and my traitorous cunt gets wet from his touch.

I close my eyes briefly and step back. “I am sorry Nick. I - I can’t. I can’t do this to him.”

He stands there for a minute looking down at his feet and asks “What is his name?” without looking up at me. I stay silent for too long because I can’t think of a name off the top of my head, because I am not dating a guy.

I'm not dating anyone.

He looks up at me “That's what I thought.” He steps closer until my breasts are flush under his pecs. He lifts my chin “You haven’t moved on Elise. Please let me try again. Let me try to make it up to you.” He's so close to my face, I can feel his warm breath against my lips. “I know you miss me just as much as I've been missing you. And you know our sex wasn’t subpar. You just said that in the heat of the moment.” I mean our sex was good, but not as good as sex with Caleigh, but I am not going to tell him that. Especially since Caleigh obviously doesn’t want to be with me now.

He cuts my thoughts off as he lowers his mouth to mine. It's gentle, but I moan and he takes that as a green flag to deepen the kiss, and I let him.

A horn honks in the distance, breaking up our moment. We pull apart panting and he says “Come home with me tonight, please?” I think about it for a second.

My pussy and alcohol make a decision that I might regret later. “No. Take me to my apartment, and stay the night.”

He smiles. “That’s my girl. Let's go.” I smile at him and we walk back to tell Hallon that we are leaving.

If Caleigh can go sleep with someone else, then so can I.
