“What?” Liam asked me.
“It’ll delete. Every time Screech found anything it would delete only seconds later. Whatever he’s found it’ll be gone before he finishes typing. It’ll happen again.”
“The fuck it will,” Micah said, and he made a few more clicks. “I’ve had a little help with this one.”
“What? Who?” I asked. “Screech?” He was the only one who had helped me and knew the story.
“Nightbot.” Micah said, and I stood straight up, breaking contact with Liam.
“You know who that is?” I asked, moving closer to Micah who was set up on the kitchen island.
“Let’s just say, they contacted me, and they’re helpin’ us out here,” Micah told me, which I did not like one bit. I didn’t trust this person. They bailed.
“Seriously? Nightbot ghosted us and wiped all of Screech’s stuff out. How can you trust this person?”
Micah stopped typing and looked up at me. “Trust me, Nyx. Know you’re workin’ on that. Just know I wouldn’t put my brothers or any of their ol’ ladies in danger. They’re helpin’, and they got us in.”
I wasn’t sure how to feel about that. My emotions were all over the damn place.
Micah turned back to his computer and said, “We’re talkin’ almost a billion dollars between all three locations.”
“A billion?” Raid asked, and I had to grab onto the countertop.
“Yeah. Actually, over a fuckin’ billion.”
“So what’s the plan?” Raid asked, looking at Cruz.
This was the plan that Screech and I had to wipe out their money to take them down. Now though, with it right there it actually felt tangible. But would that solve anything?
Cruz didn’t speak for a while. He appeared to be in deep thought, and no one talked, waiting for him.
“The operative here is to get rid of these three assholes. Correct?” Cruz asked Raid point blank. My idea of get rid of meant dead, and I was hoping they felt the same way because that would be the only way this would be done.
“Fuck yeah,” Raid answered.
“Then we need to change the entire plan and do this fast and hard. Not to give them a second to act.” Cruz looked to Raid. “Liam and Nyx in the fold?” he asked, and my attention went to Raid, wanting to know the answer myself.
“Yep. They’re mine.”
Cruz looked to Liam and me. “That means you’re in. No out. There’s no changin’ your mind tomorrow. Ravage is your family. Understood.”
My eyes connected with Raid’s who smirked. “Understood,” I said, knowing I wasn’t leaving this man, ever.
I turned to Liam, and he was looking at Raid too. “You sure about this shit?” he asked him.
“Wouldn’t have said it if I didn’t.”
Liam nodded, then turned back to Cruz. “Understood.”
“Great. Liam, you’ll get your prospect patch after this shit is handled” Cruz ordered as if it would be done tomorrow.
My heart pounded. Liam would be Ravage? He was a cop with all the laws behind them. I wasn’t stupid; I knew that the club wasn’t the lawful of the bunch. Hell, look what I’d gotten them all into.
“It’d be an honor,” Liam said, not skipping a beat.
“Great. We need a layout of their building in Atlanta. Along with the surrounding area,” Cruz stated to the two men on the computers.
Deke started typing on his computer. What would we do without technology these days?
