I wasn’t surprised to see my brother, but Liam got props for protecting Nyx. If nothing else, him keeping her safe was a plus. My cock throbbed watching this man who by and far was as strong as me shielding the person who meant the most to me.

My brother had his gun up and pointed right at Liam. Deke followed in, his gun up too. I didn’t move.

“Liam,” Ax said. “Better put that shit down. I’d hate to put a bullet in ya and cover this white tile in blood.”

“Fucking hell,” Liam said, putting his gun back in the holster. “A little warning would be nice.”

“You’re in our place. You don’t get shit,” Ax clipped back, and Nyx came out from behind Liam.

“Not you too…” she groaned. “Please just get along. I have too much going on to have this inner turmoil. You shouldn’t even be here.”

Ax ignored that and put his gun away, moving to Nyx. He wrapped her up in his arms and kissed her cheek. “Good to see ya. Now what the fuck is goin’ on?”

“You’re gonna tell him everything. Aren’t you?” Nyx asked me. I had never once felt torn between my club and anything. This moment, though, didn’t she understand? My club was an extension of me; I would tell them for her sake. They would help me figure out a solution to the problem.

“Yeah. I’ll tell the club. Everyone will be fine.”

“If anyone…” she started, but I cut in. “Keep saying that sentence, and I’ll make sure you stop it.”

Nyx rolled her eyes, but dropped it. “Hey, Deke.” She waved.

Deke smirked. “Hey.”

If they didn’t stop eyeing my woman… Fuck. I shook my head. They both had ol’ ladies, and they were my brothers. Guess I was on edge with Liam here.

“What’re y’all doin’?” Ax asked.

“Checkin’ to see what we have and what we need,” Nyx answered.

“Bev stocked the house up front. You’ll just need to pack it up and bring it here. You’ll have enough for a while,” Ax responded.

“Who’s Bev?” Nyx asked.

“House manager. She stocks the house and keeps it up. This is normal for the house. Nothing out of the ordinary,” I answered.

“You have a house manager who takes care of a house that no one lives in? You have to know how stupid that sounds,” she said, making Ax and Deke chuckle.

I shrugged. “It works. Roll with it.”

Movement from the left had my brother and Deke pulling out their guns once again. “Who the fuck are you?” Ax asked.

Screech’s hands went up. “Whoa, man.”

“That’s Screech. He’s a vital part of this situation,” I responded, not needing Nyx to really be pissed at me if my brother killed her friend.

“Fuck me. Is there anyone else here?” Ax asked the room, putting his gun away … again.

“No. This is it. Just the four of us,” I replied looking around the room, and Screech came further into the room. “Screech, this is Ax, my twin, and Deke, my brother.”

He gave a soft wave with a, “Hey.”

“Someone fuckin’ tell us what’s goin’ on here,” Ax growled low. “Because you, brother, failed to share anything.”

“Have a seat. It’s gonna take a hot minute,” I told the two men as they lifted their chins and moved over to the open living space. We’d made it large with a U-shaped couch and two recliners with pull out chairs under the coffee table if needed. We had a lot of Ravage MC brothers and ol’ ladies. Thank God we hadn’t needed the place for something like this before.

Looking to Nyx and Liam, they were watching Ax and Deke like they were rock stars. I growled low, “You two too. All of us in the living room.”

Nyx let out a breath. “I really don’t want to tell them, Raid. If I just go now…”
