Hell, the woman who made the comment about fucking me in the bathroom, I didn’t even know who she was. They’d all been nameless and faceless.

Did that make me a dick? Yeah. I knew it. But I also didn’t give a fuck. In my line of work, I didn’t need women thinking they’d be more than a fuck with me.

I’d kept that fine line for as long as I could remember. People got close to me, that meant they’d become a target. Random women didn’t have that concern.

Then why did her leaving hit me somewhere I didn’t fucking like?

She shouldn’t be anything but a bunny or a momma. They all were.

But was she?

I ran my hands over my face in frustration, then adjusted my cock.

Pulling out my phone, I looked at the time and noted I needed to meet Deke, Micah, Cooper and Ax. Nyx managed to get me distracted from my schedule. I was never distracted.

I’d have to deal with Nyx later. Because I knew there would be a later. Knew it down deep.

Pushing out the door, I went down the hall the opposite way and out the back door, heading straight to my bike.

The night was warm, but the breeze on my face was cool. Loved my fucking bike. A 2008 Harley Davidson Street Glide with a fat bob touring kit making it the Harley Davidson Street Bob. Shit was sleek, fast, and comfortable. That I completely restored. My father taught me everything I needed to know about working on a bike. I could disassemble and reassemble any bike, not a single problem.

It’d be great if I were in the chop shop business, but for me it was working on my bikes and when needed at the garage.

My brother’s bike was up ahead, and he was standing there waiting for me as I parked and swung my leg off.

“’Bout time. Fuck run too long? Not gettin’ it up like you used to?” Ax said on a chuckle.

I reached out and clamped my massive hand on his shoulder and squeezed hard. “Fucker. Keep runnin’ your mouth and I’ll have to lay ya out. Indie’s not gonna like you comin’ home with a swollen shut eye.”

“I can take ya,” Ax said, and if we didn’t have a job that needed to get down, I would’ve taken him down. Not only to show him I could, but maybe a few licks in the head would help me forget the taste of Nyx on my lips. Fuck me, I still smelled her. Still wanted her.

I lifted my chin to Micah, Deke, and Cooper. “Ready?” I asked, taking in the surroundings.

The chief had a field of woods behind his home, but after only about two hundred feet, a new development was in the beginning stages.

We were in the new development section, not knowing much about this home specifically.

Knew the layout because we had a database for the homes in Sumner. It was just something we did. Knowledge was power. And Ravage always had the power.

“Tried connecting to the fucking security system, and it kept bouncing me out,” Micah growled low, closing the trunk of his SUV. Fuck, that thing carried an entire computer system. He could reach NASA if he wanted to. This wouldn’t be something that I’d hear from him. He was never kicked out of anything.

“You can’t get in?” I asked, speculation dripping in my tone.

His stern pissed off face cut to me. “Don’t fuck with me. That’s why somethin’ is up with this shit. I can get into the fuckin’ pentagon if I want to. There’s no fuckin’ reason I can’t get into this shit.”

“Fuck me. But you’re for sure there is the one?”

“Yeah. Even know the make and model. Yet, every fuckin’ time I get to the codes to get in, it makes my machine go nuts. Fucker almost gave my laptop a virus. Good thing I had my shit protected and it didn’t actually get in. But it only pissed me the fuck off. So we’re goin’ in and figurin’ this shit out.”

“So we go in blind?” Ax asked, and I was thinking the same damn thing.

“No, not fuckin’ blind.” Micah held up a navy blue hard shelled suitcase. “This will get me in. Just have to hook it up to the main security panel, and I’m in. We have thirty seconds.”

“Why thirty?” I asked. Most systems gave a minute or ninety seconds before going off.

“Bein’ fuckin’ safe. This fucker has this much of a system on a home he just purchased, he’s hidin’ shit.”

“Alright,” I answered. “Please tell me you know where the fuck the panel is.”
