Holy shit. All six women were in a tub big enough to fit them very easily. They had so many bubbles they were sliding over the edge and onto the floor.
The other men chuckled.
“Does she know you do this?” Ridge asked and had all three men smile over at him.
“They all do,” Darian said. “We told them the rules and about the cameras when they visited here the first time.”
“And they don’t care?”
The other men shook their heads.
“I would have thought they’d freak out.”
“The ones that have been here several times are used to the way we do things, and I’ve never had one question it.” Darian turned up the volume. “And this has come in handy several times. Littles tend to stand together to support each other. If they make a pinkie promise, it’s next to impossible to get information out of them. This helps. I think they forget the cameras are there.”
The other two men in the room smiled and nodded.
Chapter Three
“What are you going to do, Ellie?” Brylee asked.
“I applied at a few places, and the only one that’s called me back is a bar. It’s kind of scary because it always has a lot of bikes out front, and it’s loud, but I’ll take it until I can find something better.”
“Jesus,” Gage said. “They’d eat her alive.”
Darian frowned and nodded his head. “I won’t allow it.”
“Ellie, I want you to let my Daddy help,” Larkin said.
Ellie shook her head. “No. He’s done so much for me already, and you pinkie promised you wouldn’t tell him about everything.”
“He likes you. I know he’ll be upset when he finds out what you’ve been going through.”
“I like all your daddies. You have such great families.”
Jenna said, “I wish you would come live with us. We have the room, too.”
“I would never ask that. Christy said she’d give me two weeks to find a job.”
“I think it’s rotten the way she’s taking advantage of you,” Aleena said.
Ridge could see the way Ellie’s mouth turned down.
“It was the best I could do at the time.”
“But she makes you pay half the rent, and her boyfriend practically lives there too, but he doesn’t pay anything, and then you have to sleep on the sofa. You don’t even get a dresser-drawer but have to use boxes for your things.”
Ellie nodded at Kyla. “I know.”
Larkin got Ellie’s attention. “Does her creepy boyfriend still try to touch you when her back is turned?”
Ridge saw all three men stiffen and realized he also did. The thought of that woman going through all of this made him sick to his stomach.
“She’s not going back to that place,” Darian growled. “Jesus, I can’t believe they kept this from us.”
Ellie turned away instead of answering Larkin’s question.
Darian sat back. “Will one of you go up and get them out of the tub? I have a lot of questions for the girls.”
