“I’ll just take the drink.”

“Fair play.”

Ava came up behind her, wrapped an arm around her, and kissedthe top of her head. “How is one of my favorite people in theworld?”

Harlow laughed. She tried not to show it,but the fact Ava had said that meant a great deal to her.

“I’m doing good. Loving the shots.” Shenoticed Ava was only drinking from bottled water.

She wore a very sexy red dress. It must bethe early stages of her pregnancy, because to Harlow, it didn’tshow.

Next, Abriana came to her, hugging hertightly.Abriana had tobe the most expressive of them all, and filled with love foreveryone. Apart from Larissa, but she didn’t exactly count, eventhough she was part of their group. Larissa was different from alot of people.

“This is awesome,” Larissa said. She wasn’t drinking shots, but had a bottle of orange soda in her hands.

Before Harlow could say anything, Larissawas grabbing her hand.

“We have to dance.”

No one tried to stop them, and Harlowlaughed, willingly letting herself be dragged onto the dancefloor.

Larissa let out a whoop, and she hadn’t letgo of her orange.

“Do you even know how to dance?” Harlowasked.

“No. Other than dancing around my room andhaving fun that way, who cares? It is your birthday, girl. I think it’s only fair you getup and dance.”

Harlow threw her head back laughing as withher feet spread a little, Larissa did what she did best and hadfun. There was no holding back, even in her sweetness, she just …did. Harlow adored her. She never wanted anything bad to happen toLarissa. She loved the freedom and carefree spirit she portrayed.Even though it was freezing outside, Larissa was once again in adress, but she had forgone the tights.

Harlow took a chance to glance aroundthem, and sure enough there were plenty of men who wanted a piece of the Larissapie.

“Tonight is going to be epic!” Larissawhooped, and a couple of people that were close to them joinedin.

Harlow stopped thinking about Hunter andtrying to behave right, and instead she fell in love with watchingone of her best friends. There was only a few years separating herand Larissa. Life had kicked Larissa in the ass a few times, butthe woman before her never stopped smiling. She never gave uphope.

“Mind if I cut in?” Big Dick said.

Harlow groaned, but she saw Abriana hadalready taken hold of Larissa and the two were now dancingtogether.

“What are you doing here?” Harlow asked.

“Simple, I came to see my little sister andoffer her a birthday present,” Big Dick said. He held a squarebox.

No one told them to move on the dancefloor. Harlow let out asigh and opened the box, pulling out a set of keys.

“Huh?” she asked.

“It’s a car. Fully paid up for the year, and if you need to get itfixed, I’ve got a deal and shit. You can’t keep walking home in thesnow or freezing your ass off. Seeing as you’re also dropping bythe club more often, you can’t be walking home late atnight.”

The last few weeks, Hunter had been herride.

“Thank you.”

“Come on, I’ll show it to you.” Big Dicktook her hand and before she could tell him to wait, he was alreadyleading her out of the bar and making their way toward the parkinglot.

“George, slow down.”

There, near a streetlight, was a car. It wasn’t anything special, just a blue car, road worthy, that would help her get around.George knew exactly what she wanted, and what she would accept as agift.
