I do as he asks, not bothering to look back at him. The box opens to another small box inside. I gasp, my hands shaky as I open it up.

I turn around to face Enzo, who’s on his knees, a wavering smile on his lips. “Kelly, you’re the love of my life. There’s nothing I want more than to grow old with you and raise Camillo together. Please make me a happy man and say yes.”

My eyes blur with tears. I nod happily, placing my hand in his open palm as he takes the ring from me. “Yes! I’ll marry you, Enzo.”

He slips the ring on my finger, standing up to kiss me. I smile, absolutely gleeful as we return home. His hands are on my thighs on the car ride home, heating my skin with every touch. It’s already late when we arrive; thankfully, Molly and Camillo are asleep.

Enzo gently leads me to the bed, kissing me as he goes. “This is the first I’ll be making love to you as my fiancée.”

I laugh at his corniness, kissing him fiercely as he takes off my clothes and pushes his cock into me in one swift motion. I gasp, wrapping my legs around him, my waist whining to meet his thrusts. A moan escapes my lips as he slowly pushes me toward an orgasm. His cock pulses as I grind against him. My back arches as he bites my nipple, flicking his tongue against the hardened nub and sucking it in his mouth.

My nails dig in his back as he fucks me in the bed, his words in my ear, naughty and sweet, a mixture of his love and his deep desire for me.

“Oh Enzo, I love you,” I say as I cum, my hands tightening around him as the force of it causes me to moan.

“Fuck…” I ride out my orgasm just as he explodes inside of me, sending me into another spiral of orgasmic bliss.

Epilogue

Enzo

I stand at the altar, soft music playing behind me as I look on while the door bursts open. Kelly walks out in her white dress, looking splendid. We’re having an intimate wedding with our family and friends only. The guests chuckle and coo as Luna, Janna's daughter, and Camillo walk down the aisle with their baskets in hand, emptying rose petals on the path as they have been taught.

I’m happy they’ve come this far without pulling a stunt like they did during the rehearsal dinner. It had taken a lot of bribing to get them to where they needed to be. Camillo looks down at his empty basket and frowns before running in the opposite direction, away from the aisle.

Ah, I thought we had it this time.

He stops at the entrance and picks up the flowers as a curious Luna stares on. She looks at me, giggling softly before upending the petals in her basket and running back to join him. The guests laugh once again, thoroughly enjoying the show before them. I pull out my reinforcements in hand and call them.

“Camillo, Luna.” I wave them around. “Come get your lollipops.”

As with the rehearsal, their heads snap up, and they run to the aisle, their baskets and flowers completely forgotten. Alessia calls them back, smiling as she winks at me. The keyboard changes its notes, and my breath hitches in my throat. Kelly walks in, her eyes fixed on me. My eyes are on her and only her. She stops to blow a kiss to Camillo; he giggles and stretches his hands to reach out while surrounded by his aunties and godmother.

Kelly kisses him before walking up to me, her smile widening. She styles her hair in a wavy do, letting it fall down her back. A crown of flowers rests on her head, which is quite fitting, considering we’re having a garden wedding. I take her hand in mine as she reaches for me, unable to stop smiling. She’s perfect, absolutely stunning. There’s no one else I’d rather be sharing this moment with. She’s finally mine at last, which is what I’ve always wanted.

Although it took us longer to get to this point, I appreciate the process, as it has strengthened us and is happier. It's better than if things hadn’t happened the way they did. The ceremony goes by in a blur. We’re lost in our world as the crowd goes wild when we’re finally pronounced husband and wife. I pull Kelly in my arms, place a kiss on her lips, and hold her in my arms to savor the moment.

"So, how does it feel to be Mrs. Lombardi?” I ask with a grin.

She looks at me, her eyes mirroring the love and adoration I have for her. “Hm… ask me again after our honeymoon.”

I chuckle, understanding her meaning just as our friends and family come toward us, pulling us apart.

“There’s so much tension it’s scary being near the two of you,” Molly says, handing Camillo over to Kelly. “Our little star wants to be the first to congratulate you.”

“Mommy,” he says, tugging at the flower crown on her hair. She laughs, handing it over to him.

“Yes, baby, how are you?” she asks in the cooing tone she reserves for him. She takes him into the house while Michael drags me in the opposite direction.

"Well, my friend, how does it feel to be finally married?” he asks, a hand on my shoulder.

“I have to say, it feels great,” I confess.

“You’ve changed so much,” Michael states, staring at me in amazement. “I’m so proud of you.”

“Thank you, Michael. I’m just glad I had people who truly cared about me enough to want me to be better and happier.” I smile wryly. “You’ve been a great friend, Michael.”
