Beckett laughed and looked down at Kaida, "Do you want him at the house?"

Kaida nodded, "I'd feel better if he was closer to us."

"I can make him a room when we get home."

Kaida yawned again. "Sounds like a plan."

Well, I wonder how this will go.

The sound of someone knocking on her bedroom door had Kaida jumping out of her deep sleep. As far as she knew, Beckett wanted to take Enzo down to the city and get him anything he needed now that he was staying on the island until further notice. Esen mentioned that he had to send a letter to receive a shipment from the mainland, so he would take Enzo there to send his father a message about staying on the island due to him and Kaida wanting to work through some things before completing the ritual for their bond to be fixed.

She tripped over a pair of pants and went to the ground. While down there, Kaida tried to locate her own pants to put on. The knocking continued, and Kaida decided there was no reason she needed pants since the people she lived with were her mates.

I don't even care if it is Blaze right now. I just want the knocking to stop.

Kaida opened the door to find Arlo smiling at her. She could have sworn Arlo said he would get Blaze out of the house and tell him that Enzo was sticking around.

"Hey there," Arlo said as his eyes wandered downward andthen back to her eyes.

Kaida looked down and realized that, not only was she not wearing pants, she was also topless. Normally, she would feel self-conscious. However, something about having Enzo's bond reunited had given her a sense of confidence she hadn't felt since before her birthday. She looked back up at Arlo and gave him a wink. "Hi."

"I was wondering, with everyone else out of the house, how about we get out of here and spend the day together?"

Kaida didn't hesitate. "Hell yeah! Let me get dressed."

She didn't close the door. Kaida just ran to her closet and started looking through it for an outfit she wanted to wear. When her eyes landed on the cute blue and purple dress that Azulia dropped off the other day, Kaida snatched it off the hanger and walked over to her dresser to find a bra.

"Is there anything in particular you would want to do today?" she asked Arlo.

She could feel his eyes on her. She thought about putting her clothes on seductively for a moment but thought better of it. This was the bedroom she shared with Beckett. If felt wrong to tease Arlo into possibly doing something when in this room. If he would take the bait, that would lead to things on Beckett's bed. Beckett was a tolerant man and could flow with the rockiest of situations. However, she thought having sex on his bed with someone else could cause him to break.

Two minutes later, Kaida was dressed and putting her flats on. Arlo was still in the doorway, his nostrils were flared and his eyes were stuck on her. Kaida spun around slowly and then stopped to look at him.

"Do you like the dress?"

Arlo swallowed and didn't take his eyes off her. "Love it. Though the thought of loving it crinkled on my bedroom floor came to mind."

Kaida bit her lip. "I thought you wanted to take me out."

"Hmm?" Arlo mumbled after scanning her again and then finding her eyes. "Yeah. I did. We should probably do that."

"Let's go then."

Arlo held out his hand, and Kaida gladly crossed the room to take it. His skin felt hot to the touch, and there was a sizzle when their skin touched. Kaida ignored the throbbing between her legs as they made their way down the stairs. After yesterday, she could use a day to get her mind off things.

As they walked down the path, Arlo started talking to her about how he looked in Azulia's shop and offered to help her this morning. Kaida groaned at remembering her offer to help Azulia, and she had yet to do so. Arlo waved his hand at her.

"Azulia is fine. After telling her customers she needed time to build up inventory, she said things had slowed down. She canceled some sessions for the next couple of days and rescheduled them for next week so she could make some clothes to fill the racks. She doesn't need help until then."

Kaida sighed. "Thank the gods. I felt horrible just now because I promised to help out."

"She knew you'd feel that way, but we have enough on our plate right now."

"Yeah, especially with Enzo here. Speaking of Enzo, how did Blaze take the news that Enzo would live with us?"

Arlo chortled. "Oh, wonderfully! He is so excited to have another roommate."

Kaida laughed at him. "So pretty much how we thought it would go."
