“No, I don’t want everyone calling me it.”

“They won’t. It’s a boyfriend name for you.”

“No, it’s not. It’s my family’s name for me.” I glance ahead at the group. “Besides, I don’t want Lewis calling me it.”

“You’re safe. He won’t call you something he heard me say. It’s a territorial thing.”

“Can you just cool it with the nickname? It’s too weird hearing it outside of my family.”

He pecks a kiss on my forehead. “No can do, Kikki.”

“Parker,” I whine.

“Come on,” he says, tugging me forward. “We’re lagging behind.”

I resist. “Do I really need to do this?”

“Do you want to skyrocket Lewis’s interest in you?”

I pout. “I hardly think he’ll care once Yvette jumps in that skimpy bikini.”

“Hey,” he coos, hooking a finger under my chin. “You got this. Besides, everyone’s going up. If you don’t, you’ll look weird.”

I hang a thumb at my side. “Milo’s not.”

Parker grabs my shoulders, pointing me in the direction of the path. “Milo doesn’t have to, he has Jamie to protect him. You have to forget about those two. You’re here to impress Lewis, not copy their relationship.”

I huff in frustration. “Fine.”

Parker pushes me up the incline and we meet up with the others. “You’ll be fine. We’ve done it hundreds of times. No one’s ever gotten hurt.”

Jamie laughs, turning to face us. “Unless you count one of Kai’s concussions as getting hurt.”

I gulp. “One of?”

Jamie bats a hand. “Oh, yeah. He only got one of the concussions at the lake.”

I backtrack but Parker grabs a hold of me again. “Don’t scare her, Jamie. Kai’s the daredevil. No one else takes it as far as he does.”

Tabitha grins, adding, “Unless Jamie’s trying to one-up him.”

Jamie raises a hand. “Guilty. But our rivalry has come too far to stop now.”

“Who’s going first?” Tyler asks.

“Kai, let’s go,” Jamie says, stepping up to the cliff edge.

Kai scratches the back of his head. “Ah, I was gonna jump with Tabby.”

Jamie nervously shrugs it off. “Oh, yeah, right. That’s cool.” She beckons Tyler closer. “Come on, Ty. Let’s do this.”

Without batting an eye, Tyler counts them down. “Three, two,” and he leaps off the cliff before saying one. Jamie jumps off, spinning her body as she cheers on the way down.

My heart pounds in my throat, waiting for the splash below. With hands clasped to my chest, I near the edge and spy them below. In the water, Tyler and Jamie high five and cheer on the next people to jump.

Kai grabs Tabitha’s hand and beckons her closer to the edge. “Come on, baby. Let’s do this.”

Tabitha squeals, readying herself, and the two leap off the edge.
