He cooks her meals (always her favourites).
Fixes her leaky sink (funny, it wasn’t broken yesterday).
And his eyes? Gold in the light. Glowing in the dark.
At first, Nia thinks she has hit the eye candy jackpot.

Then she notices:
? Her bedroom door creaks open just a little wider each night.
? Her ex-roommate’s social media? Deleted.
? And that low, rumbling noise in the walls? Definitely not the pipes.

It turns out Lyall didn’t answer her ad. He was already there.
