He smiles sitting straighter. “I’ll go round later.”

Kicking my chair, he uses his foot to spin me towards him.

I let out a laugh, jolting in my seat.

With both hands, he drags my chair slowly closer to where his legs are parted. “The only person I have missed,” he dips his finger under my dressing gown by my neck, skimming it down exposing one of my breasts, “is the one I want to spend all day in bed with.” The tip of his finger brushes over my now hard nipple. He circles it leaning forward, placing a kiss on my chest.

We’re stopped when Lauren’s loud banging feet hammer the stairs. I quickly cover myself, feeling my checks flush with my need.

“There it is.” She snatches her phone from the counter, then turns and leaves, completely unaware.

Dean looks to me. “A night away. That’s what you and I need.”

“You just got home,” I point out to him, giving him a wry smile.

He pulls my chair an inch closer. “And I’m a man starved.” His hands glide up my legs underneath the soft material of my gown. “I want you in bed, on your back at my mercy.”

“As your whore?” I joke.

He looks at me seriously. “As my girl. I’ve missedmy girl.”

My face drops, his words making my heart skip a beat. He tucks my hair behind my ear, his eyes searching the depths of mine. Licking his lips, he then kisses my chest, his hands gripping my thighs tighter.

A subtle moan creeps out of me.

“I’ve missed your smell.” His lips travel to my neck, forcing me to lean back, giving him room. He grazes the delicate skin with his teeth before gently sinking them into me. One of his thumbs then drops to my inner thigh, pushing flat against my clit. “I’ve missed your taste.” His tongue then licks up my neck, finding my mouth as his thumb starts small circles.

“Dean.”

“I’ve missed the way you call out my name when you come.”

My hot breath runs wild as more banging footsteps are heard upstairs. I clench my thighs together.

Dean smiles against my skin. “You girls have taken over my house.” He leans in again, skimming his soft lips over mine.

The smell from his shampoo has me closing my eyes, taken aback by how mind-altering he is. “Better get used to it,” I say.

He looks at me closely, deep in thought once again. “Or we could move?”

I pull back with a jerk, studying him. “This is your home?” My voice is full of curiosity.

“Babe, youare my home. I’m serious. We could get away from it all. Buy somewhere bigger, fill it with babies.”

The speed at which my heart soars into outer space steals my breath away. I feel lightheaded. The pull of what he’s suggesting has me throwing my body at his. I can guess where this is all coming from. Being away from me, from us. He’s filled his mind with thoughts of our future. But he shouldn’t be here. That harsh realisation has me pulling back slightly. “Are you sure you want that?” I ask seriously, one hand cupping the side of his face.

He’s silent. Sweeping my hair back, he stares at me. “More than anything.”
