“I love you beyond all the stars in the sky.” His face skewed as the pleasure took hold. Speaking from his desire and his love for me, he pumped into me faster and faster.
“I love you with all my heart and soul,” I uttered. The pleasure surmounted over me, and sparked an impending explosion for the second time.
Leaning forward, I bucked my pelvis to meet his thrusts, my body caving in and rushing over the edge of ecstasy. My nails dug into his side as my back arched. I moaned, losing control, and moved with him. He lurched forward, giving me everything he had. We rocked through the waves of pleasure until both of us finished, and lay in each other’s arms, merely catching our breath. The euphoria washed over us in the afterglow of our lovemaking. At that moment, I felt utterly complete in his arms.
“I can’t go without you anymore,” he said as he traced circles on my shoulder.
I lifted my head and smiled into his face. “I feel the same. If I have to travel back and forth to see my daughter I will.”
“Did you discuss her moving here part time?”
I sighed. The long drawn out conversation between Jefferson and I about the subject flowed through my mind.
“We did. We sat Kenna down and explained to her about it. She’s trying to adjust to the divorce. I believe we did her a disservice by pretending we were happily married for all this time. It’s a shock to her that we’ve split.”
“Do you think she’d want to move her part time?”
“Well, Jefferson is leery about moving her here, but when I pointed out we have joint custody, we should let her decide because both of us are capable of raising her. He doesn’t like it, but we brought her into the conversation. She’s also scared of flying in the shuttle to a different planet. We discussed flying and how it would work and the amount of time it would take. Jefferson pointed out the two week travel would cut into my time with her, which is understandable.”
He shook his head. “It’s a lot for a child to decide.”
“It is. But she said she would when school was out. That means my time with her will be dependent on her school schedule. Sheunderstands I took the job as Ambassador here and that I won’t be on Earth as much.” I shrug. The thought of being away from Kenna saddened me greatly, but the thought of being away from Do’Thortn devastated me.
I turned to him, smiling. “I’m choosing to come here. I’m nothing without you. Like a person without a soul and heart. You fill my head so much I can’t do my job. It’s no use in being apart. I can’t do it. It’s like you have such a bit part of me, I can’t live like that.”
His hand smoothes my hair back. “Nor can I. You’re part of me now. We belong together.”
My body renewed with energy as I lifted over him, not getting enough of the blue Zorloxian who I claimed as my own.
“I’m serious, Do’Thortn. I’ve never felt this way before. It’s like I’m a zombie alone. I don’t come alive until I’ve with you. It’s scary. I can’t function. It’s truly like a part of me is missing and with you.”
He sat up and pulled me to him, onto his lap. “It’s fate, sweet Moxy. That’s why we’re whole together. It’s meant to be this way. I’m surprised humans don’t do that.”
“No, we don’t. But then if we found our true loves, our soul mates, I believe we would.”
CHAPTER 12
Do’Thortn
My beautiful Moxy accompanied me to the palace meet and greet of the dignitaries from Koliam. More Zorloxians than anything, and a few Abliadorians, who professed in being on our side. I had suspicions they were moles, but the head authorities on Zorlox believed them.
“This is the new ambassador from Earth, Moxy Foster.” I introduced her proudly as she smiled professionally, doing her best work.
“Hello all. I’m very thrilled to be here and be apart of the Zorloxian way of life now.”
All but the Abliadorins nodded with smiles. I kept my eyes on them.
Vegarx, the head of intergalactic missions, lifted his chin. “I understand you and Moxy are mates now?”
A low murmur rose through the room.Ahem. “Yes. My twin hearts resonated with her the moment I met her,” I said.
The dignitaries exchanged looks. J’Evi furrowed his brow. “I understood Moxy Foster had a human husband on Earth and a child.” Again, the murmurs resounded.
Moxy gazed about, her face set in a frown and stood. “Let me address this before you think ill of Do’Thortn or me. Humans don’t have a means of knowing when we’re matched to our fated mates. Oftentimes, we marry out of convenience and not love. I am not ashamed to admit Jefferson Foster and I married out of a means to further our political careers on Earth. Yes, we had a child in the process. That’s the only good thing to come from the union. When I met Do’Thortn, I understood immediately what the term fated mates meant.”
“It’s against our basic laws for one to break up a union,” Vegarx said.
“Let me set the record straight. Before I ever laid eyes on Do’Thortn or stepped foot on Zorlox the first time, Jefferson and I were in the process of divorce. A divorce is a dissolution of the legal marriage. It was over way before. Do’Thortn and I didn’t come together until well after the divorce was finalized. He didn’t come between Jefferson and I and didn’t break up our marriage. On Earth, I am considered a free woman. I’ll appreciate it if you would treat me as such here. What Do’Thortn and I have is real and will last forever.”
