“Don’t worry. I’ll make you feel good, too.”

“It’s no wonder I hate you.”

I had pissed her off, and she was even sexier when she was pissed off and lying to herself.

“You’re sexy when you’re mad.”

“Oh, you are so frustrating.”

The thing was, she wasn’t just a plaything to me. She was more than I could possibly put into words. However, she didn’t need to know that right now. I sat my cup down and grabbed her by the arm. “That’s not what you were saying in your bed last night.” I laughed.

“Argh.” She stomped off.

Dove was so innocent; it was fun messing with her. Finally, I gained my control back. With the refill of coffee in my mug, I headed to my office to finish some work before dinner. And by dinner, it meant, I would have to order out since I let Susie have the day off. Truth be told, I didn’t trust leaving Dove here by herself. But she didn’t have to know that. Who knows what she would try?

Even though I’d never taken a woman or played this game before, I was a dominate man and I knew how I wanted my women. It was all about the power exchange we would share. I wasn’t sure how far I’d go with Dove. I did know I had something I needed to let out and play. I was barely hanging on.

Chapter Five

KARA

It was dinner time and I had no plans of showing up tonight. I was too busy being pissed off to be hungry. Even though I was free to roam certain areas, I stuck to my room. Damon never stopped by even when I had my room door open. Surely, I would be punished for not attending dinner tonight. That was the only thing I wasn’t sure I was prepared for.

Damon was so frustrating. Just when I thought we could maybe get along; he went and pissed me off. He definitely had my pulse racing. But, while it was racing with rage, there was also lust underneath and I hated myself for feeling that way.

During the night when I thought Damon was in bed, I decided to descend down the stairs. If no one was here and he was asleep, it was possible I could find some food since now I’d worked up an appetite. Skipping dinner wasn’t such a good idea. I just had to keep my cool and not let Damon get to me.

In the kitchen, I opened the large refrigerator door and pulled out some lunch meat, deciding to just make a sandwich.

“Can’t sleep?” Damon questioned in the darkness.

I jumped. “Shit. You scared me.” I held my chest as I tried to control my breathing. “I’m starving, actually.”

He stepped toward me and plastered himself against my back, leaning forward to whisper, “When you skip dinner just to avoid me, this is what will happen. You will be punished. And you’ll take the punishment like a good girl.” Then he walked out of the kitchen.

Shivers went down my spine.Shit.I should have just waited until breakfast to come down.

After making my sandwich, I scurried back to my room. Because, tonight I was scared of Damon. Would he sneak in my room when I least expected to punish me? I wondered what he had in store.

I woke up with nervousness swirling in my belly. I didn’t know what to expect when I walked down to have breakfast. I silently sat at the table and waited. No Damon. He never showed up as Susie placed a plate of hot breakfast in front of me.

“Eat. You will need your strength tonight,” she instructed.

“Has Damon left already?”

“He has. But he left a gift for you.” She grabbed the box from the accent table and placed it in front of me. “But eat first.”

I swallowed, not knowing what was in the box. There was no way he was rewarding me for my behavior last night. My mind ran wild, staring at the box while eating the breakfast Susie prepared. In all honesty, I was glad I didn’t have to face Damon just yet.

Pushing my plate away, I pulled the box toward me. Inside, there was two smaller boxes. Taking one box out, I opened it and took out the delicate chain and inspected it.

“That’s a waist and garter chain. You’ll wear it tonight,” Susie said,suddenly appearing from the kitchen. I also pulled out the dress that you’ll wear. If you need help, let me know.”

“Thank you,” I said as she took my plate.

I took the other box, inspecting it, and noticed a note attached.Take this unopened to your room and await my presence for this to be opened. And, Dove, do not disobey me on this.
