“You take my cock so well, baby. You’re so beautiful with my hand at your throat.” My voice is strained as I try not to blow my load too soon. I watch her jaw tighten on a swallow and fixate on my hand with the brutish aesthetic of my chunky silver rings against her delicate satin skin.Fuck. I can’t come without her. I take my arm away from her middle to slide between us and press my thumb roughly to her clit.

She groans long and low, the vibrations travelling through my fingertips and I wait until I feel that first clench of her walls around my shaft before succumbing to the tingling sensation at the base of my spine. I come hard, spilling inside her while panting her name.

Elle’s lightly floral scent fills my nose as I nuzzle into her plum hair, breathing hard. Her arms are wrapped around my neck and her forehead resting on my shoulder, her body limp. I don’t know how long Lance and Brent are going to be, but I’m vaguely aware that we should probably move out of the communal lounge. Not that we’re hiding from them, but this moment is just for us, not to be shared.

“That. Was. Amazing.” She lifts her head and gives me a dazed smile.

“You’re incredible,” I tell her, kissing her gently.

Without letting her go, I stand from the couch and carry her to my room, the room she’s been using as her own for weeks.I’m still inside her, still hard when I lay her on the bed and finally slip free. I quickly undress and am back at her entrance, taking her gently and lovingly the second time. There’s no dirty talk this time, just sweet kisses and private declarations of love until we both come apart again.

Laying here in each other’s arms, we’re both awake but we don’t speak, just soaking in the company and the post-sex glow. The front door slamming has me turning toward the door and Elle lifts her head to follow the sound too. Raised voices travel down the hall although I can’t make out the words.

I slip from the sheets and pull on my boxers, Elle puts my shirt on and nothing else, momentarily distracting me from the commotion down the hall. I pull her to me by the collar and kiss her deeply until Lance’s voice shouts angrily, breaking the moment. I open the door and we head down the hall. I’m sure whatever is happening, Brent and Lance wouldn’t want Elle a part of the conversation, both of them still cautious of sharing all our dirty secrets, but I don’t stop her from following me.

“It’s a suicide mission!” Brent hollers.

“If it was anyone else, Brent, what would you do, huh?” Lance’s voice is angry and loud.

“But this isn’t just anyone else, cous.” Brent speaks softer now. “You know I’m behind you, no matter what you decide, but I want you to be sure you know what you’re doing.”

“It’s already decided,” Lance sighs.

Elle and I reach the end of the hall that opens up to the open plan kitchen-living room. Neither of them notices us, so I hold her back from going too far until I have some understanding of what the hell is going on.

“Lance,” Brent’s voice cracks and I get an impending anxiety sprouting in the pit of my stomach. “We can protect Elle, okay? We’ll make sure he doesn’t get to her again, you don’t have to do this.”

Elle grips my forearm and I look down at her to see her silver-grey eyes brimming with panic.

“It’s not just about Elle, Brent. Sure, I don’t want him anywhere near her, but this had to happen regardless of what he did to her. You heard him before, there’s a war coming and with him leading The Daos, we’re on the wrong fucking side of it.You really want The Kukris running half of this city? They’re fucking psychopaths. Look what they did to Ruby!”

Brent stiffens, his jaw ticking and his eyes glazing. “Even if you succeed, Volkov will not be pleased and that just paints a giant target on your back. I already nearly lost one person I love to them, I am not losing you!”

“What the fuck is going on?” I step forward, finally alerting them to our presence.

Both of them look to us and their eyes land on Elle, Lance looks at her sadly while Brent is all panic, making my insides turn to knots.

“We’ll talk later,” Lance says to me but Elle just steps toward him.

“Please don’t shut me out. I’m all in, remember?”

Lance captures her wrist and pulls her to him, stealing a short but emotional kiss. He then looks to Brent over Elle’s shoulder, a silent conversation happening between them before they each nod. When he finally looks at me, icy dread washes over my bare skin and he sets his gaze to determined resolve. “Sydney must die.”

ELLE

Things have been tense for the last couple of weeks. Since Lance told us that he planned on killing his father. Brent and Hayden have both argued with him, concerned for his safety, but Lance has asked them what the alternative is, stumping them both for an answer.

I can’t say I fully understand what’s going on, but I know that everything is changing and that whatever happens next will make or break us. All three of my men have been craving me, needing one on one time like they can’t seem to get enough of touching me. That certainly hasn’t had me complaining, I’m happy to be their comfort blanket.

I’d asked Brent what Lance had meant about something having happened to Ruby, but he just sighed, kissed my head, and told me it wasn’t his story to tell. I’m starting to understand that there are some seriously bad people out there and Lance may be about to piss a lot of them off. Not to mention the emotional toil it must take to plan the execution of your own father. Even if his is a complete wanker.

Security has also been super tight. I tried to meet with Gray last week as he’s been worried about me, but none of them were happy to let me spend time away from them. They don’t even leave me alone in their fortress anymore; one of them always stays home with me during the day. I had to cancel choir practice, telling my kids that I’ve been poorly. I was delighted when Romeo sent pictures in our group chat to show that most of them still made use of the standing hall reservation and got together to practice anyway.

The suspense is killing me. The next move needs to be made. I can’t keep living like this. I have been allowed to work though, which has kept me sane. Tonight was a good show, I did an earlier set so it was quieter than my usual crowd, but it was cathartic all the same. I’ve changed back into the clothes I wore to the club tonight, this tense vibe between the four of us making me feel overly exposed in my tight and tiny performance wardrobe.

Walking back out into the bar, Lance waits for me with a warm smile, pulling me into him arms and kissing me tenderly.
