I got into the bed with Koah, careful not to wake him, but as soon as I lay down, his large arm came around me and pulled me into his chest. He moaned and kissed my shoulder.

“Round two?” he asked, making me giggle.

I turned in his arms, taking in his sexy, sleeping expression. “Gracie’s home.”

He kissed the side of my neck. “I can be quiet.”

His tongue peeked out and flicked at my earlobe, making me shiver. “That’s nice, but I can’t.”

His deep chuckle sent vibrations down the side of my neck. “This is true.”

He slid his lips across my skin, leaving chills in their wake until he softly kissed my collarbone.

“Do you have to work today?” he asked against my skin.

“I don’t go back in until tomorrow. Why? What did you have in mind?”

He looked up and rested his chin on my shoulder. “I want to take you somewhere special. Will you go with me?”

I nodded.

The truth was, I would go anywhere with Koah. I was good and addicted to him.

He kissed my lips softly before he pulled back. “Good. Get showered and dressed. Pack a small bag. I’ll run home and do the same. I’ll be back to pick you up in two hours. Okay?”

I sat up on my elbows. “Wait. Pack a bag? Are we staying somewhere?”

He kissed me again. “You’ll see.”

Then he climbed from my bed and began to dress. I leaned back and watched, my body heating again while he grinned at me like he could hear my thoughts. Once dressed, he leaned over the bed and kissed me again.

“Soon,” he said, knowing I was already hot and ready for more.

Then he turned and left the room, leaving me with a smile that made my cheeks ache.

Therewasnogoingback when it came to Tori. I was a runaway train; she was the only passenger I wanted. I knew the consequences and what it meant for my friendship with Joker, but whenever I thought about being inside her or her expression when she came apart in my arms, I couldn’t find it in myself to worry.

I drove back to my place with a smile, ready to get my ass in the shower, get dressed, and run away with Tori again. The city looked brighter, the sky bluer, and I wondered if she had cast some sort of spell over me while I slept at her side. Either way, I liked it. I felt lighter—happy in a way I hadn’t known in my life—and I knew it was thanks to her.

The house was quiet when I arrived. Everyone was asleep, and I went directly to the bathroom and stripped down for a hot shower.

The smell of Tori filled the space around me, and I breathed deeply, knowing I was obsessed with her. I washed slowly, remembering the night before and how fucking good it felt when I slipped into her for the first time. The feel of her body wrapped around me—her nails digging into my skin—her cries of delight. It was enough to make me hard again, but I didn’t bother jerking off. I knew I would be inside her again tonight, surrounded by the most peaceful place on earth.

I toweled off, looking in the mirror at myself and running my fingers over Tori’s scratch marks embedded in my chest. I wanted to run to my favorite shop and have them tattooed—marked on my skin for the rest of my life.

Dressing in my room, I packed a few things I would need for a night away. Once satisfied, I locked my bedroom and entered the kitchen for a water bottle. When I went into the living room prepared to leave, Crow surprised me. He was awake, sitting on the couch and rolling a blunt on our glass coffee table.

Once his eyes landed on my bag, he lifted a brow and shook his head.

“Going somewhere?”

I set my bag down at my feet and crossed my arms. “I want to get away for a bit.”

“Weren’t you away last night?” he accused, not even looking up from the table.
