“So, are you two having sex?” Mary asks.

I shake my head. “Nope. We kissed once, last week after I visited his sister, but it’s no big deal.”

“No big deal? Girl, this is huge, I’ve known you what, four years, and you’ve never once had a man nor been interested,” Mary says.

“If you want to blow off my hen night to go get laid, do it, but I want all the freaking details when I next see you,” Lorraine says.

“You know I won’t do that, and besides, he’s got hands for a reason, right?” I laugh.

“Oh, I get it. You’re going to play hard to get. Lady, you have a lot more self-control than I do. I’d totally have let him have his way with me by now,” Lorraine says. She has no idea how much I don’t want to be this controlled right now, but we are in public. I get out of my seat. “Where are you going?” Lorraine asks.

I throw her a look over my shoulder. “To get this hen party started.”

“Tell him you’re single and get his number,” Lorraine calls as I turn my back.

Shaking my head, I walk inside, finding Declan alone. He smirks as he leans against the counter. “You just couldn’t stay away from me. I told you I’m irresistible.”

“I’m just here for the wine. We would like to get the tasting started, though, please?”

He shrugs. “What would you ladies like to start with?”

You. I want to taste you again.

He arches an eyebrow as a sexy as fuck smirk comes across his lips. I want them pressed to mine with the same hungry desire he had for me the other night. He steps around the counter, and for a moment, I wonder if he’s going to haul me into his arms and kiss me right here. He comes closer, and I catch a whiff of his cologne. He smells so good.

“I can’t stop thinking about that kiss,” he whispers.

“Me either. I…want it again.”

He grins. “Me too.” He motions towards a hallway.

“I can’t go with you now!”

He turns his head over his shoulder, and I follow his gaze to see a waiter giving my friends some menus. “You’re friends are way too preoccupied with Rafe to notice you have disappeared.” He slides his hand into mine and tugs me down said hallway, our fingers linked together, then he pulls me into an office, kicking the door closed.

“This feels so naughty,” I say.

He whips around and lifts me into his arms. “This was your idea.”

“No, I-” He silences me by pressing his mouth to mine, and the familiar rush of emotion rolls over me, same for the electric current I felt last time. I have to admit, being in his arms feels so damn good, and I want to give into him for one night. I do. Yet, I’m terrified at the same time.

DECLAN

She tastes so fucking good. I don’t want to stop kissing her. I slam us into my office door, not breaking our kiss as I glide my free hand up her body to touch her breast. Her nipple hardens as she grinds her hips against me. I wasn’t wrong when I told her she wants me. I just didn’t realise how much.

Ripping my lips away from her mouth, I drag mine down her neck, making her whimper. “Declan.” Nipping lightly, I glide my hand from around her neck, down her body, and around to her ass. Squeezing it, she melts against me.

“I need your mouth back on mine,” she demands. I let out a growl as I do as she requests. I might be the Alpha, but right now, she’s the one calling the shots, and it’s sexy as hell. Mashing our mouths back together, she moans into mine as I slide the hand on her ass beneath her skirt, feeling lacy, silky panties. Pure heaven awaits me, except she grabs my wrist and rips her mouth away from mine. “No, Declan. If you do that, it’ll go further than I want tonight.”

I grin and lean my forehead to hers. “Fuck, I want you so bad. You’re killing me, Winter.” She exhales and tilts her head back against the door. “What’s going on in that pretty little head of yours?” I ask.

Her eyes fly open. “This feels so damn good. Being with you feels amazing, but I’m terrified. I’m fraternizing with a client’s brother; it’s forbidden.”

I grin at her. “And yet you want this?”

She nods. “Yes. And, I’m terrified of the thought of being with a man. It’s been six years since I’ve been with anyone. While I have no doubt, you’ll make it the best experience ever, I don’t want to rush into something because I’m horny.”
