I groaned and pressed my face into his shoulder. “Shut up. I’m out of my league here. I’m not used to anyone just saying what they’re thinking like that.”

“You do it.”

I blew out a rough breath and nodded. “Fair point.”

“Are you two coming?” Cole winked at me. “Or should I warn the locals to stay away for the next few hours?”

I choked on nothing. “Hours?”

Both men looked at me with cocky expressions on their faces and I realized I probably needed to tell them that I wasn’t anywhere near as experienced as them. They were most likely going to be very disappointed.

CHAPTER 17

Sonnie

Drake’s house was a beautifully crafted single-story dwelling around thirty minutes away from my house. It wasn’t the huge monstrosity I thought it might be, instead it was cozy and picturesque. From his front porch swing to his overstuffed living room couches, everything felt welcoming. His kitchen was large and stunning, with marble countertops and the deepest farmhouse sink I’d ever seen. I was obsessed immediately, especially with the double door fridge which could’ve stocked a restaurant. Honestly, I was obsessed with all of it.

It was clear Price and Cole were comfortable in the space. They went straight to the fridge and started grabbing condiments to put on the sandwiches we’d gotten from the gas station. I was jealous of their relationship in that moment, in the strangest way. They were a family. Most days, I felt like Rosie hated me. On the good days, I felt like she was tolerating me until she could leave. There was no one else.

With my appetite waning, Drake led me to his bedroom and the bathroom beyond. The large bathroom held a massive walk-in shower and an equally large tub. The shower had so many spray heads I wasn’t sure what they’d all do, but I was excited to find out. He showed me the towels and told me to use whatever I wanted to before he left me to it.

I took a scalding shower, appreciating the hot water. I scrubbed every part of my body and shaved everywhere. I washed and conditioned my hair and then I just stood under the water for a long time, enjoying the warmth.

Maybe a part of me was also procrastinating. I wasn’t entirely sure what’d I’d walked myself into. I didn’t really know the men waiting for me in the kitchen. Kissing them was the most I’d done with a man in over three years. I’d acted flirty and I’d kissed all three of them before coming home with them. Did thatmean things were going to happen with all three of them? Would they just…take turns?

I groaned and thumped my head into the shower wall. “What the hell is wrong with you, Sonnie?”

I finally turned off the water and used one of the fluffiest towels I’d ever come across while giving myself a talking to. Even if I didn’t know them, I liked them. They were funny and sweet to me. They made me feel things no other man ever had before. I liked kissing them. Each of them. I also really liked having Drake pressed up against me. They wanted me. For some strange reason, they each seemed attracted to me. I was definitely attracted to them.

On the other hand, Drake wanted me to be his fake date. If something happened, would he be done with me? I’d heard plenty of stories about men, especially rich men, getting what they wanted and then vanishing. Would I be okay with that? He’d given me something so huge when he offered me a space in their class. People fought tooth and nail for a spot there. I would never have that chance without Drake giving it to me. What if hooking up with Drake meant I didn’t get to take the class?

My stomach growled and I panicked as I wondered how long I’d been in the bathroom. What if I went out and found all the guys asleep? With that thought banging around my head, I towel dried my hair as fast as possible and clipped it up in a messy bun. I brushed my teeth with a finger and some of Drake’s toothpaste before pulling on my clothes.

I’d grabbed my night clothes without thinking about them and it occurred to me then it might seem weird for me to walk out in my pajamas. Would that look presumptuous? I stared at my reflection in the mirror and winced. My face was red from the hot water and without any trace of makeup, I thought I looked younger. My oversized t-shirt hung down to my thighs and theshorts I wore didn’t stretch any lower. My fuzzy socks were pink and decorated with hearts.

My nerves were standing on end by the time I walked out of the bathroom. I wrapped my arms around myself and chewed on my lip as I made my way to the kitchen.

Price saw me first and his lips slowly stretched into a smile. “You’re just in time for ice cream.”

My stomach growled and I pressed my hands to it to quiet it down. “That sounds amazing.”

Drake had been looking down at his phone on the other side of the kitchen but he walked over to me and easily picked me up to sit me down on the island. The marble was cold under my thighs but Drake’s hands resting on top of them were hot. A tornado of sensation formed in me, set on flattening whatever hesitation I felt. “We’ve got vanilla, chocolate, moose tracks, or cookies and cream. Your choice.”

“All homemade?” If I sounded in awe, it was because I was. I sat up straighter when Price opened the freezer door and showed me the four containers. My mouth watered and I rubbed my hands together. “Moose tracks. Definitely.”

A minute later, I was eating homemade moose track ice cream and moaning happily as I bit into a chunk of fudge and peanut butter cup. Happiness exploded across my tongue and I couldn’t help swaying a little. I loved desserts. There was a reason I wanted to bake for a living. It didn’t just make me happy to craft the desserts. I also loved eating them.

“Oh. My. God. Wow.” My eyes had closed at the first taste but I forced them open to wave my spoon at Drake. “I’d marry you for this ice cream alone.”

His expression was starved as he moved to stand between my thighs. Resting his hands on my hips, he watched hungrily as I took one more bite and moaned. “Hold on. We’re moving to the couch.”

I gasped as he picked me up and settled his hands under my ass to hold me. I had to wrap my thighs around his waist and lean into his chest with my precious ice cream and spoon clutched behind his back. I laughed easily as he carried me and then shut right up when he sank into the couch and settled me right on top of his erection.

He met my gaze and nodded at the ice cream I was holding out beside us like a weirdo. “Eat your ice cream.”

I absently took a bite and watched him closely. Did he just want me to sit there? The feeling of his erection pressing into my core was enticing and I desperately wanted to rock against it to see what would happen.

“You’re in charge here, Cupcake. Whatever you want, you can have.” Drake rubbed my legs, his thumbs dipping low on my inner thighs.
