He groaned. “What the fuck? I finally find a woman I can’t take my eyes off and here you two come, wedging your way into it. We work together, we live at each others’ houses most of the time, and now we’re doing this together?”
Cole tipped his beer in our direction. “What exactly isthis?”
I looked between the two of them and found them both looking back at me. “What are you looking at me for?”
“You’re the one who swooped in and kissed her!” Drake growled and stood up. “I’m going to get another beer.”
I looked at the bar and smiled. “Don’t distract her for too long.”
“Are you kidding me?” Drake swore. “I should’ve turned my location off years ago and I shouldn’t have sent you two idiots a picture of her.”
He marched away, leaving a wake of people staring after him. They even cleared a spot at the bar for him, and Cole and I watched as the other bartender rushed to attend to Drake.
Cole snorted. “Does his Cupcake have a jealous streak?”
I leaned forward and watched as Sonnie glanced over at Drake and grinned before going back to her other customers. Laughing, I turned to Cole. “Guess not.”
“Okay, for real. Break it down for me. What the hell are we doing?” He ran his hands through his hair and rubbed the knot at the base of his head. “We crossed a line out there. It’s something we probably should’ve talked about before we just dove in.”
A sliver of guilt hit me. “Shit. I know. No. Idon’tknow. I just acted. There’s something there. She had that wild look in her eye and I just felt it. You’re right, though. I should’ve stopped and thought about what I was doing. Or what would happen next? What are the chances she runs?”
Cole grinned as Drake slid back into his seat and soft curves pressed into my side. Sonnie. She looked down at me with a pretty smile on her face and slid three new beers around to us. “Are you talking about me? Running?”
Drake pulled her onto his lap and wrapped his arm around her waist. “She’s not running.”
Sonnie wrapped her arm around Drake’s shoulder and shook her head. “I’m too stubborn for running. Or maybe too stupid. Either way, I’m not running.”
“We were talking about how I’m an asshole for not talking with Drake first about what I did outside.” I looked at Drake andnodded. “I don’t know how I would’ve started that conversation, but I should’ve.”
Sonnie pried herself from Drake’s lap and rolled her eyes. “For the record, I don’t belong to any of you. Drake asked me out first and I told him no first, but that doesn’t mean he has a claim over me. I kiss who I want to kiss.”
Drake smiled. “And you want to kiss the three of us?”
She shrugged. “I don’t know. I didn’t hate it.”
“Well, shit.” I met Drake’s eyes and nodded to Sonnie. “She didn’t hate it.”
With a snort, Sonnie strutted away from the table, leaving us each staring after her. Cole broke the spell first. He whistled just under his breath. “Damn. She’s painfully sexy.”
Drake rubbed his jaw and looked thoughtful as he turned back to us. “Yeah.”
I raised my eyebrows and took a long drag of my beer. “What now?”
“You heard her. She kisses who she wants to kiss.” Drake might’ve sounded bitter if it wasn’t for the big grin stretching his mouth. “I guess we just wait and see.”
“Wait and see.” Cole’s eyes moved from each of us to Sonnie at the bar. “And if she wants to kiss all of us again?”
I picked at the label on my beer bottle, not wanting to answer too quickly. My pulse quickened as I held my breath to see what they’d say. I wanted to do more than kiss Sonnie. There was something about her sass and the confidence she exuded that mixed with her softness and made me want to pull her close and taste every inch of her.
“I’m not missing a chance to have more of her.” Drake shrugged. “If she wants all of us, I guess we’ll figure it out.”
I nodded. “It was strange seeing both of you kiss her. It wasn’t bad, though.”
Cole nodded. “I had a threesome a few years ago. I didn’t hate it.”
“Who’d you have a threesome with? Two women or a woman and a man?” I saw the way he glanced at Drake and scooted my chair back from the table. “You’re fucking kidding me!”
Drake slapped my chest and growled. “Keep your voice down. It was one night and we were both drunk. We didn’t touch each other. There’s nothing to talk about.”
