“You still know me so little,” she told him as she cupped his face. “I’m not going anywhere.” She pressed her lips tentatively against his. He only resisted for a second, then he softened, mouth opening to her. Her tongue teased the seam of his lips and danced across his tongue, pulling a low growl from deep within him.

Her fingers tangled in his thick curls, urgently pulling him closer. Her blood sang through her at every point of contact, and she couldn’t get close enough. He carried her to the large front desk and wiped everything off it in one fluid motion. The cash register, papers, pen, and various gums and snack bars went flying onto the wet floor. She gasped. “Storm damage,” he said with a wink, shrugging.

He gently placed her on the smooth wooden surface. She wasn’t in the mood for gentle. She grabbed him by the front of the shirt and tugged him down on top of her. She nipped his ear. “I want…” she panted, moaning as he ground his prominent manhood between her legs. The friction stoked her passion to dizzying levels, and she cursed the layers of fabric between them.

“I’ll give you anything you want, princess. Tell me.”

She writhed under him, need coursing through her. “I want you.”

She jerked his shirt up and worked it over his head. His damp chest glistened, years of manual labor evident in the strong pectoral muscles, the smooth plane of his stomach interrupted only by the ridges of his abs. She traced her hand down wonderingly, brushing through the soft trail of dark hair leading to the top of his jeans. Elle wanted to kiss her way down that trail and beyond.

Alec didn’t give her the chance, dropping searing kisses on first her lips, then along her neck before yanking the straps of her dress down to suck a taut nipple in his mouth, working it mercilessly with his tongue. One hand drifted roughly down her side, her leg, until he found the hem of her dress. He lifted her and pulled the bottom of her dress until it was bunched around her middle. She had never been so aroused, so hot with desire.

One hand reached between her legs, teasing her inner thighs. “I never did get you those panties,” he murmured.

She could only moan in response, panting with need. “Please,” she begged.

Slowly, so slowly that she thought she might come apart right then, he plunged one thick finger into her cleft. “God, Elle. You’re so wet.” He eased in and out, curling his finger to press against her G-spot while his thumb massaged her clit. He dove another finger inside, and she nearly screamed.

She writhed as he worked her closer to release. Her moaning grew louder, panted breaths quickening as all sensation narrowed down to the blossoming pleasure between her legs.

“Come for me,” he whispered, massaging her faster. “I want to hear you scream my name.”

“Alec!” Her core erupted, shockwaves crashing over her again and again as she broke apart around him.

He didn’t give her a chance to catch her breath, unzipping his pants and bracing himself over her. “Can you take me, princess?” He rubbed his stiff cock against her stomach, teasing his way down to press the tip lightly against the entrance to her core.

She was aching for him to be inside her, the throbbing between her legs nearly unbearable. “God, yes. Give me all of you.” She tilted her hips and opened herself to him. He sheathed himself inside her with a powerful motion, plunging balls deep. She cried out, the fullness of him almost too much to bear. He moved over her slowly at first, carefully.

“You won’t hurt me,” she told him. “Harder. Please.” She lifted herself again to meet his thrust, feeling him reach places no other man had ever been able to before. She felt complete.

“You’re so tight,” he growled, pumping faster as he neared his own release. “Elle, I’m close. Come with me, baby.”

Her muscles tightened, contracting around another powerful orgasm. “Yes! Alec, yes!” she cried out.

“Elle, I’m coming!” he roared, shuddering as he reached his own release.

She felt boneless, spent. Her languid body draped over the desk, and he curved himself around her, his arms providing a protective cage. But she didn’t feel trapped. She felt freer than she had in a long, long time.

Chapter Seven

The water inside the store was steadily rising, and while she didn’t want to leave their blissful post-lovemaking cocoon, she had to face reality sometime. “We’d better get out of here,” she whispered, still hesitant to break the spell.

He rose wordlessly and got dressed, troubled gaze looking miles away. “Your dad sent me a time and place to meet. I’m supposed to bring you.” He didn’t look at her when he spoke. “It’s a rough part of town. I can just drop you at your folks’ house now. Or your apartment. Whatever you prefer.”

“What about your sister?”

He sighed, face crumpling briefly before he pulled himself together. “I’ll figure out another way to get the money.”

“That’s stupid.”

His head whipped around in disbelief. “Excuse me?”

“Just take me to the meeting spot. I’ll leave with him, you leave with Caitlin, easy peasy.” She shrugged. “Why give up on the plan now?”

“It’s too dangerous. I won’t risk you getting hurt if something goes wrong.” His gravelly voice deepened with feeling, and her heart soared at his concern for her. He must really care about her. “And I don’t think Caitlin will be there anyway,” he admitted. “Your dad never said she would be. Only that I’d never see her again if I didn’t give you up.”

The thought of her father hurting anyone still rocked her. She wrapped her arms protectively around her torso to steady herself. “Even more reason for me to be there. I can convince him to let her go.”Probably, she thought but didn’t say. Her dad had never denied her before, but she wasn’t sure it was her dad she’d be talking to tonight. It would be Dr. Keller, ruthless drug lord.
