He closes his eyes and leans into my touch. “I don’t want him to take you from us. I need you too.”

My heart hurts knowing he’s feeling this way.

“Sunshine, look at me.”

He opens his eyes, his discomfort evident. “Alexi took me to bury my parents. He bought us property so that we can build a new house for us to get away to.All of us. We spent hours talking about all of the areas of the house we would want to make for you and Lev. He is not trying to take you away from me. He already told me he found sleds to order for you when it snows so you can enjoy all of the hills.”

Damien chuckles, some of that fear beginning to subside as he sees what’s really been going on.

“Besides,” I say as I take his arm and dig in my nails, “I made it very clear who I would choose. All of you or none. And the last time I checked, I have three rings tattooed on my finger that tells which choice I made.”

I dig them in harder because Damien understands pain and clearly needs to be reminded of my strength.

“Don’t doubt me, Sunshine. Or I’ll have to show you exactly who I am. And we both know your ego couldn’t handle that.”

He lets out a groan of pleasure as I rake my nails down his arm, leaving marks. The tension has already faded from his posture. He just needed some reassurance.

“Now,” I say, “feed me before I turn into a hangry bitch, and Alexi throws a fit.”

“Yes, ma’am.” Damien’s lips meet mine, and I smile as he leads me to the car. I give Alexi a nod, letting him know things are good as I get into the back with Lev. Damien sits in the front and fist-bumps Alexi as he gets in. Because apparently, that’s all men need to do to get over a little spat.

“You can Dom us when we get back, bro, my bad.”

I snort a laugh over how easily Damien can work through his issues. He never holds a grudge, none of them really do when it comes to our family. Lev pulls me close to whisper in my ear.

“Everything good, Lucky Charm?”

I touch my forehead to his, loving when he trails his fingers down my thigh. His heat envelops my side, and I instantly feel sleepy. I swear, since working through my night terrors, just being close to Lev makes me want to pass out in his arms where I know I am safe and protected.

“All good, Ghost.” He kisses my forehead, and we arrive at the restaurant shortly after.

I thought by being in this small town that we would be going to a quaint little restaurant. Leave it to Alexi to find five-star dining wherever we go. A waiter shows us to our table, a round booth towards the back with a curtain that seems to separate us from the rest of the people here. Dim lighting dances around us with candles in the middle of the table.

The waitress arrives right on cue as my stomach rumbles. She smiles at me and takes our drink order. I sit with Damien on my left and Alexi on my right, so she must think it’s safe to flirt with Lev when she gets his drink order.

He’s careful not to give her much attention, but also not to be rude. I would smile if it weren’t for the fact I want to stab her eyes out.

Alexi brushes his hand over my thigh before squeezing, knowing exactly what I’m thinking. When she returns with our drinks shortly after, she tries to catch Damien’s attention this time.

Look, I know polyamory isn’t the norm, and she probably assumes someone here is single, but it doesn’t stop me from pulling the blade from my thigh piece when she leans over to get Damien’s order, showing off her perfect tits in the process.

Alexi grabs my wrist as I seethe. When the waitress finally looks at me, I’ve taken a breath. Her brows pinch, sensing my hostility.

“I’ll have the filet, medium rare. I would also appreciate it if you stopped flashing your tits to my husbands.”

Her face pales.

“Don’t get me wrong, they are great tits, but the four of us have our hands full with each other, I can assure you.”

Damien snickers as she gapes at me, eyes darting between the men who only have eyes for me. Alexi clears his throat to order, and she writes it down without looking up from her notepad.

I am all for women's empowerment, but back off my guys.

When she leaves, Alexi loosens his grip on my wrist so I can resheath my knife.

“Possessive much?” Damien asks.

Before he can blink, I have my blade under his chin, flashing him my teeth.
