When we’re at the Blackcat, the rest of us always order for him.
As he gets closer, he passes me a cold beer and I take it, throwing it back, almost finishing it in one go.
“Thirsty?” He raises a brow.
“Famished.” I answer, wiping the sweat from my brow.
“Alive?” He nods to the door behind me.
“He was still somewhat breathing when I came out here.” I shrug.
“It stinks out here.”
I laugh at the understatement.
“I think some of his shit got on my boot.” I lift up the offending object and Ringo moves further away.
We both turn to the back of the club when we hear the door again and see Butcher heading our way.
“Is it done?” Butcher asks.
“It might be. He was still breathing a little when I stepped out.”
“Should I go ahead and call in a cleaning crew?”
“Yeah, by the time they get here, he’ll be done.”
“You look like shit. And smell like it too.” Butcher holds his hand to his nose.
Looking at my arms and body, I’m pretty sure that I look like I rolled around in blood.
No telling what my face currently looks like. Most likely the worst horror film in history.
“It’s bloody business.” I shrug and Ringo laughs.
“Some of you are really fucked in the head.” Butcher shakes his head, turning back to the clubhouse.
“Time to go see if he’s still alive and finish this.” I hand my empty beer to Ringo.
“And if he’s already dead?” Ringo asks.
“Then he won’t scream when I finish skinning out his other nut.” I answer calmly.
“Fuck.” Ringo breathes, putting a hand over his own.
Laughing at the look on his face, I go back inside the building.
Andi
Waking up slowly it occurs to me that the girls aren’t in here waking me up which is odd. They normally always come in here as soon as their feet hit the floor in the mornings which is why when Gabe stays the night, I always make sure we’re up before them.
Listening intently for a moment, I hear their laughter in the kitchen and wonder what they could be up to. Sitting up, I grab my robe, pulling it around me and head in their direction.
Walking into the kitchen, I see Gabe standing over the stove cooking what smells like omelets but I also smell hot chocolate. Heading straight to the pot that looks freshly brewed, I grab my cup and pour the hot liquid inside.
“Well good morning to you too.” Gabe laughs as I immediately take a sip and sigh with delight.
“Good morning.” I finally say, stepping over to him to give him a quick kiss as the girls giggle.
