Hexon cleared his throat and cocked an eyebrow at me and I felt like he was chastising me with his expressions. I sighed. “Very well. I agree to those terms.”

“Thank you. Now please, your help,” Ara said.

“On the way,” I said, then hung up and rolled my eyes. “Fucking Théoden,” I snarled. If not for him, I wouldn’t even have to be bothered. I looked at Valier. “Bring in Tylendel.”

“Yes, my Liege,” Valier said, then quickly rose and walked to the door, opening it to let my Elder Knight join us. Tylendel entered, wearing all back and his clothes fit him like a model’s. Damn, he was fucking gorgeous. And I could feel the power coursing through him, so strong. Those five days with his uncle did wonders. Perhaps I’ll do the same for my other Knights, Théoden included.

Tylendel bowed his head as he stood at the end of the table. “My Liege, how may I service you?”

I cleared my throat. “Prepare the army. I defer to you to get my battalions ready.”

“Yes, Your Highness,” Tylendel said.

I looked at Hexon. “Contact Prince Mika in Japan and have him clear out the vermin. I want all enemies eliminated in Japan. Next, contact Prince Tarnus in India and my Steward Soryan in Greece and have them ready my army. Make sure they are protecting the borders and aiding Ara’s oh, so weak and helpless vampires,” I said because it gave me some satisfaction to be a little bit petty.

Hexon smirked then bowed his head. “Of course, Your Majesty.”

I turned back to Tylendel. “I know I said I’ll leave it all up to you, but send two of my Knights, Lex and Rian, to Ara in Greece to protect him and his land. Dispatch Landriel and Gabriel to India. Send a battalion to Josef’s territory and have Misha at the command. The others stay with me. Send two battalions into New Haven, Tylendel, I want you and Vex lead them.”

“I’ll get right on it, my Liege,” Tylendel said.

I nodded. “Hexon, I will have you and Giancarlo, Olian, Marcel, and Rolando remain at my side in case they attack us as well since we’re in the fight now.”

He bowed. “Yes, my Liege. Wise strategy.”

“Meeting adjourned. Let’s get ready to kill some freaky ass vampires,” I said, then rose.

Everyone did the same and left to prepare, all except Elliot, who remained at my side. “If you weren’t immune to dragon venom, I would be more worried. But I still want you by my side, Elliot. We will have my other Knights and Hexon and Valier with us. We’re powerful, but these vampires are strong. And if they are even half as fast as Théoden is, I don't want to risk you being caught on the battlefield without worthy defense.”

“I hope you’re not asking me to hide?” Elliot said.

I scoffed and shook my head. “I know better than to do that. Your cock is already hard at the thought of fighting and spilling blood. I’m just asking that you stay close to our Knights.”

“Ahh,” Elliot said with a nod. “I see.” He shrugged. “Sure, I can do that.”

“These are vampires, they may have special abilities, but silver should still work,” I said.

“I do have a question,” Elliot began.

I raised my eyebrows. “What?”

“Fire is a dragons’ most lethal weapon. I ought to know. I fought a dragon army when I’d first been turned. They destroyed my entire pack, reducing nearly four thousand wolves to less than a hundred and thirty in a matter of minutes. I was lucky to have survived when so many didn’t. Deacon nearly died, too. If these vampires are immune to that, how hard are they going to be to fight?”

“Have you ever fought vampires before?”

He shook his head. “Nope. We’ve always had an understanding with Ara when my pack moved here. As long as they stayed out of wolf territory, we left them alone. I’ve only fought other wolves and dragons before.”

“I’ve never fought against vampires before either.” I snorted. “Hell, the one fight I did have, I lost. But that won’t happen again. Théoden taught me a lot that night.”

Elliot smirked and stroked his beard. “I did get to see one of Théoden’s sons in action once. Marco, and he was a beast. Impressive as fuck, and I can only image how much more lethal he’ll be now. He’s more powerful than he was back then.”

I nodded. “I don’t know what we’re walking into, Elliot. That’s why I want to take every precaution. Our Knights have what we callPurefire.”

“What is that?” Elliot asked.

“It is a secret weapon, so to speak. Only a pureblood dragon Knight has it. Knights get special abilities other dragons don’t have when I share my heartsblood with them.”

“So, Théoden doesn’t have it?”
