Noel scratched at his temple. “We’re getting closer. We’ve got eyes everywhere looking for him, but honestly, Sire… I think he may have left our territory.”
I growled, because that was not what I wanted to hear. “I will be very disappointed if that is the case, Noel.”
I watched as his muscles tensed and he nodded. “I’m doing everything I can to find him, Sire.”
“This is your old cell, have you exhausted all of your contingency plans?”
“Yes, Father, but Somchai has taken over, and he was the new guy when I was in charge. I don’t know how he thinks and what I gathered from Jules, he didn’t know much either. He just followed the orders Somchai and the others came up with.”
“It’s been months,” I complained, because it felt like I was dealing with Noel’s human nonsense all over again.
“I know, Father… I'm on it. This bastard is crafty, though. Every time we get close, they seem to know and they get away.”
“So, he’s smarter than you are?” I asked.
Noel’s eyes widened and he shook his head. “Fuck no, Sire, but I do think he has help from our side, from vampires. I have something in the works now. I’ll find him.”
“You better. Leave.”
Noel nodded and left quickly to take care of that task. I didn’t doubt that he’d produce results, as this was a test for my young one. Again, I looked at Deijon, still blissfully unconscious, though his injuries were all healed. I thought about Somchai, the human I had all of my vampires tracking since Noel told me about him. I wanted him. I’d sired a human like Ara had wanted. Much like I had when I’d embraced Wyatt, Marshall, and even Jonah. Austin was someone who I knew would serve him well. I then sent him to Ara to be further trained by Michael.
Ara, of course, was quite pleased that my children could conjure fire, and had immunity to both dragon and werewolf venom, making them the most powerful of all his vampires. In addition to that, their bones were harder to break and their venom was far more potent. They were truly the best weapons he has in his army. So, even though the child I’d sent him wasn’t one I would personally cherish as I did the ones I chose out of love, he was still chosen and thus worthy.
However, the one I was in pursuit of now was one most challenging and very worthy of my blood and Ara’s lineage. It was even in his name, Somchai Ananada. A man of worth, a real man in Thai, and he was giving me a run for my money. That made him alluring to me. Like Noel has once been, Somchai was the leader of this rebel cell known as the Revenant Killers–a ridiculous name if I’d ever heard one. His little group was made up of whoever was left in Noel’s original cell and any new members. According to the intel I’d gathered, Somchai was the man who came up with all of the plans. He was intelligent and very cunning to be able to stay one step ahead of me. Needless to say, he had my sincere respect as equally as my annoyance.
There was something fascinating to me about the strong willed. So many people were sheep, even those who fancied themselves to be leaders were often followers themselves. True leadership was a rarity, especially in humans, and it was these gems whom I wanted to sire. Hell, one of the reasons I wanted Noel as badly as I had was because of his cleverness. He was extremely smart and bold. He had evaded me for months, making the chase intense, and his capture even more satisfying. It would be the same for Somchai. I would collect him myself as soon as I found out where he was. As for the rest of his crew, they would meet their deaths in the arena, or maybe I would just toss them into the crowd to be feasted on. Either way, it would be a good time for all. Well, not them, but they didn’t matter.
I turned when I heard Deijon stirring and saw him roll over onto his stomach, then push himself up into a sitting position. “Are you ready for more?”
He frowned up at me. “Not really, Sir.”
“Learn how to protect yourself and you’ll see less of my floor.” I advanced on him fast and he slid out of the way, which was impressive. “That’s what I’m talking about. Show me what you’ve learned.”
He came at me, re-energized and apparently ready to get revenge. I wanted him to use that fire to fight me, it would be the only way he’d survive a battle. There was never any mercy when one was fighting for their lives. He blocked a good deal of my blows, yet a lot still managed to hit him, but he took them in stride. He stomped on my foot, surprising me because it actually hurt. He then followed it up with a headbutt to my nose that had me seeing stars. I staggered back and he came in fast, trying to capitalize, but I ducked low, sweeping at his legs. He levitated, dodging my attempt, and I threw a ball of fire at him that blasted his chest. It didn’t hurt him, but it still stunned him enough for me to leap up and grab him by his neck. I slammed him down on the floor and he groaned from the painful impact.
“Ahhh fuck!” he groused, and I laughed.
I sat up and wiped the blood from my own nose, it stained my fingertips and I was proud to see it. I showed it to him. “Very good. You caught me by surprise and were able to follow it up. It’s not an easy feat to make me bleed.”
“I still lost, Sir,” he said.
“As you were supposed to. I’m over thirteen hundred years old, boy. If you could kick my ass, I’d kill myself, as I’d be unworthy of existence,” I retorted.
He frowned. “Ouch, Sir.”
“In any case, learn how to take a compliment, Deijon. I don’t give them out often,” I told him.
He smiled. “I took what you taught me to heart, Sir. Thank you.”
I nodded. “We’ll train more later. For now, I think you deserve a reward.”
I could see the look of lust glinting in Deijon’s eyes and the young dragon licked his lips as his gaze trailed down my body. He had a major infatuation with me and it wasn’t surprising. I was the Knight who had given him his first orgasm. It was something akin to how I’d felt about Tylendel when I was still a fledgling vampire. Ty was my first–and what a first! I had the biggest crush on him after that night, too. And that was why Ara had kept Tylendel away from me. He didn’t like the competition for my affection. And it didn’t help that Ty had taken liberties with my training that Ara hadn’t approved of.
I spread my legs in front of Deijon, then arched an eyebrow. He should know by now what I wanted. A dragon could sense desire and read it like a roadmap. I watched intently as he maneuvered himself between my legs and untied the drawstring of my sweatpants. I wasn’t wearing a shirt, and neither was he. I lifted my ass enough for him to slide my pants down my thighs until my hard cock popped free. His eyes glazed over as they devoured the treasure before him. He leaned down, first tickling my piercing with his tongue, then he opened wide, sucking every inch of my cock into his mouth and down his throat. I released a shudder and moan as the pleasure of his tongue and lips took me over. He knew exactly how I loved my cock sucked, as I’d trained him in this area of expertise as well. His tongue elongated and wrapped around my shaft, then pulsated as it stroked me. Dear sweet merciful god, the sensation he gave me was pure heaven. I ran my hand down the middle of his back, tracing his spine, and released sexual energy through my fingertips that made him shiver and purr.
“Yeeeah, baby dragon. I know that felt good,” I said.
“Yes, Sir,” he replied.
