“Fuck… you,” I snarled as I struggled to sit up.
He sighed and rose to his feet. “I don’t have to be near you to make you feel that way, or worse, Deacon. So, I suggest you do as I said. You’re a part of Ara’s pack now. Just like Josef. I own you. And don’t even think about attempting to cut the brand off. A dragon Knight’sFire Brandwill never go away. It’s deeply rooted into your soul. Only I can remove it. From now on, I can take away your pleasure or make you suffer from it. I’ll always know where you are and there is nothing you can do about it. One hour,” he said, then vanished using his vampire speed.
Elijah took me into his arms, hugging me. “I’m sorry. I tried to stop him.”
I pulled back enough to look at him. “It’s not your fault, baby. It’s his. That motherfucker took liberties and took advantage of the fact that he was stronger than I was. I hate him,” I growled. The brand on my ass still had a lingering burning sensation, but not as intense as it was when he’d first done it.
“The brand, what are we going to do about it?” Elijah asked.
“I don’t know. I’m not going to be able to hide it from our pack,” I said, then ran my fingers through my hair, trying to think. “What the fuck does it look like?”
Elijah released me, then leaned over to take a look. “He used the ring on his finger to do it, so it’s Ara’s crest,” he said. “Good thing is that it’s smaller than a dime in circumference.”
“Motherfucker,” I snarled.
“I can sense it in you, Deacon. His dragon essence,” Elijah said.
“If you can, then so will everyone else.”
There was a knock on my office door. “Alphas, are you alright?”
“I’ll deal with it,” Elijah said, then stood up and walked toward the door, opening it. “Gather our army, have everyone meet us in the backyard immediately,” he commanded the wolf who was there.
“Is everything alright, Sir?” the wolf asked.
“I gave you an order,” Elijah stated.
“Yes, Sir,” the wolf said, then ran off.
Elijah closed the door. I rose from the floor and walked over to my robe, slipping it back on. “I can’t believe I begged that fucking cockroach to fuck me.” I snarled at the memory. Never in a million years would I want his cock inside of me. I turned to face Elijah, then leaned against my desk. “I’m sorry, baby. I didn’t mean to…” I let my voice trail off as I motioned to the space on the floor where I’d almost raped Elijah.
“I know you didn’t. Of course, I would have given in to you, Deacon. Just like I did when we’d first met,” he said.
“I felt it was necessary to take control when you were first turned. You were fighting me and it was useless to do so. We were mated. But it’s different between us now. We’re both different. I’d never take you against your wishes,” I said.
Elijah walked over to me, taking me in his embrace. “You weren’t in your right mind. The only reason I was trying to fight you off is because Théoden said it would be worse for you if I gave in. You were suffering enough, I didn’t want to make it more unbearable. If fucking you would have made it better, I’d still be on that floor with your cock inside me, filling me with every load you had to give.”
Hearing him speak that way to me, to know that my mate loved me that much, gave me strength. I reached behind his head, grabbing his neck, and he leaned down to kiss me. “We’ll get through this, Eli,” I said after I broke the kiss and pressed my forehead to his.
“I know. You’re a survivor, Deacon, and now, you have me by your side. You’ll never have to be alone. But not only me, you have your wives and from what you’ve told me, they’ll always have your back. You also have your children and so on. This pack… they know you’re no punk.”
I sighed and pulled back. “They know I’m a fighter, but they don’t know what I’ve done to get the power and position I have.”
“They can’t ever know. But what they can know is that you’ll never be anyone’s bitch. You’ll find a way to make this situation work for you, somehow. It may take time, but Deacon, you are not defeated.Weare not defeated,” Elijah said.
“Never that,” I agreed.
He nodded. “So, call Elliot, let him know what his half-breed Knight did. See what can be done. For now, we’ll get a hundred wolves and no more than that to give some aid to those leeches.”
“Tend to the pack while I call Elliot,” I said, because I liked Eli’s idea. He was a clever man and could come up with plans just as quickly as I could, or Charlene and Elliot. “I love you, Eli.”
He kissed me, then smiled. “I love you too. And we’ll get through this. You just better not die on me, mate.”
“Same goes for you,” I said.
I watched Elijah leave and had to sit down and take a few minutes to gather my composure before I called Elliot. I had to figure out what I was going to say. What questions I needed to ask. I picked up my phone and dialed his cell and he answered.
“What’s up, Deacon?” he answered.
