She leans in, pressing her nose to mine. “Livvy will return once she realizes she can’t handle a mini assassin.”

Shifting forward, I press my lips to Haven’s, my hand sliding into her hair, gripping tight. This woman knows precisely what I need, even when I don’t know how to fix the problem myself. She is everything I was missing, everything that makes me whole. She is the light in the darkness that guides me home.

And now she has made it so I will be able to have access to Poppy. She has given me everything I could ever possibly want or need.

Now, I need to help Haven feel complete.

Pulling back, panting for breath, she looks me in the eyes with a mischievous smirk. “Shall we take this to your room?” she asks.

I take her hand, stepping back from her, my eyes shifting to Maverick and Clover sitting by the bar. “I think there’s something else we should do first.”

She follows my line of sight, spotting her siblings. Her breath catches, and her eyes water. It’s beengo, go, gosince we got back. Haven hasn’t had a second to process that her family has been waiting to find out that a part of them has been right here all along.

She turns back to face me, her eyes flooding with tears as she bites firmly on her bottom lip. “W-what if they don’t want to know? What if they think I’m bullshitting them?”

“We’ll take the folder, and we can bring Loki to verify if youwant?”

Haven inhales deeply, glancing around Maverick and Clover as they laugh together, talking to South and Ingrid at the bar. Then she turns back to me and nods. “Okay, you get Loki, I’ll go get Mav and Clover. Can we do this in the Chapel?”

“Yeah, little lamb, we can do this however you want.”

She nods, rolling her shoulders like she’s finding inner strength, and then she walks toward Maverick and Clover.

I have a feeling this family reunion will go a lot better than how mine just went.

CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR

Haven

My stomach is churning in somersaults as I approach Maverick and Clover. South stands behind his Old Lady, Ingrid, hand on her pregnant belly. They glance up at me, all smiles, while I try to keep my stomach contents where it needs to be—inside me.

“Haven, you okay? You’re turning pale. All that with the pigs too much for you?” Maverick asks while South chuckles.

“Glad I missed it. We only just got back from helping my sister, Bella. She had appointments all day, and then we returned to a clubhouse in fucking chaos,” South states.

Clover reaches out, gently squeezing my hand, softly smiling at me. “Haven?” she offers.

Letting out a soft sigh, I turn to Maverick. “Um… Mav, Clover, the pres and Loki need you both in the Chapel.”

Maverick furrows his brows, turning to Clover. “You do something at school I need to know about?” Maverick grumbles, and she scoffs.

“How do you know this is about me?” she berates.

“Why else would the pres want you too, oh bratty sister of mine?” he asks. “Especially so soon after all that just happened?”

Clover turns to me, her eyes narrowing on me again. “Haven, do you need to sit down? You really look off?”

“No, I’m fine. Let’s go to the Chapel. Alpha will be waiting.”

South slaps Maverick on the back. “Good luck, brother. You know there’s a VP spot open.”

Maverick flips South the bird. “Fuck off! I’m about as likely to get VP as you are. We’re both new here, South.”

Clover skips ahead of us. “Maybe I’m getting the VP spot. Wouldn’t that shake shit up?” She chuckles, taking off for thestairs in a hurry.

Finally, a smile lights my face before I nod. “That’s my girl. Breaking boundaries. Reach for the stars, Clo!” I call out as Maverick and I follow behind her.

Maverick bumps into my side playfully. “You okay? That was a lot to take in today.”
