We’re skin to skin, and it’s not enough.
I want more. More. More.
I meet his thrusts, both of us falling into a perfect rhythm.
“Fuck,” he groans, his head lowering a bit to suck on my nipples, and one of his fingers brushes over my clit. My back arches until I feel nothing but his dick inside me. “I love you,” he whispers.
“I love you,” I reply, tears glistening in my eyes.
Making love to my husband is the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me, and the realization about what my life was supposed to be and the reality it is hits me hard.
Because I’ve never dreamed about living such a beautiful life, and yet I am.
All thanks to the man who would turn the world upside down to make me happy. My husband.
FIFTY-SEVEN
ESMERAY
When I open my eyes for the first time today, the first thing I register is the familiarity of the room I’m staying in. My eyes focus on the small table in front of our bed, where I prepare Kai his breakfast—waffles with bananas—and an instant feeling of warmth goes through my body.
I try to get up, a smile increasing on my face when my limbs scream a loudno. Kai and I spent the entire night learning and exploring each other until we passed out early in the morning. There’s no doubt that’s the reason I’m sore, and as much as I don’t like the pain, it’s a constant reminder that Kai and I finally found our happiness.
Heis my happiness.
“Good morning, love.” A raspy voice fills the silence, and I blink rapidly, turning my head to get a glimpse of him.
He’s lying on the bed, fully dressed in one of his suits, with a sweet smile on his lips. Because I can’t help it and because I can, I lean down to press a kiss on his mouth. Kai makes a guttural sound, grabbing me by my neck and pressing me harder into him. We meet in a kiss, and my insides melt at the feeling.
How am I ever going to get enough of this?
We break apart, and my lips stretch into a grin. “Good morning,” I say in a sing-song voice.
“How quickly can you get ready?” he asks, his thumb brushing the corner of my mouth.
I stiffen. “Why?”
“Our family is waiting for you downstairs,” he says so calmly, as if it’s no big deal for them to wait for us while I sleep in our bed.
My back straightens, and in one quick second, I rise to my feet and walk to the closet. “Why didn’t you wake me up?” I release an urgent exhale, trying to pick up something to wear while I hear Kai walking behind me.
His arms cup my waist, and his nose buries in the crook of my neck, inhaling deeply. I relax, enjoying his touch.
“You were too adorable to wake up,” he tells me, breathing on my skin.
I drag a breath of air inside my lungs, my shoulders slumping. “That’s a good excuse,” I murmur, letting my head drop on his shoulder.
“Yeah?”
“Mm-hmm,” I mutter, my eyes closing one by one. “How long have they been waiting?”
“Two hours,” he says, and I instantly wake up to my senses, pushing him away and grabbing a white dress.
“What? Kai!” I say while I throw his shirt off me and replace it with the dress. “You can’t do that.”
He steps closer, his hands in his pockets. “Yes, I can, and I did.”
I huff, walk past him to the bathroom, where I brush my teeth as quickly as possible, and put the matching bow in my hair. Kai is watching me the entire time.
