Then he pulls me into his arms and spoons me.

I am sated and relaxed and exactly where I want to be. I am in such ecstasy that it only takes about a minute before I am pulled into slumber.

I sleep peacefully, dreaming of Reid the entire night.

The next morning, I wake up wrapped around Naomi. There’s nowhere else I’d rather be.

She’s still asleep.From this angle, I can barely see her face, but from what I can see, she looks at peace. Her soft and even breaths would seem to corroborate this assertion.

I still can hardly believe what happened last night. Considering she had never had sex with anyone in the past, I figured I’d be the one to have to bring up the issue. Never did I think she’d be the instigator, and not only was she the instigator, I think it would be fair to say she pounced on me.

Then we get to the act itself. Again, I thought she would be timid and again I was wrong. I was actually worried that I would hurt her, but she seemed to enjoy herself last night. That’s a win. That’s what I wanted to happen. I wanted the experience to be a good one for her.

I stretch my legs behind her and the movement stirs her.

“Are you awake?” Her voice is a little hoarse.

“Yeah. How did you sleep?”

“Amazingly. I can honestly say last night was the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a long time.”

“I’m happy to hear it, and even happier that I had something to do with it.”

She snickers. “So last night? That was good, right? I ask because I don’t have any frame of reference.”

“Naomi, it wasn’t good, it was great.”

She’s still facing away from me so I can’t see her, but I hear the smile in her voice when she says, “Really?”

“Really. It was so great that it depleted all my energy stores. I probably need to eat an entire cow to replenish my vigor.”

“Well, then we should get up and get you something to eat.” She sits up. The sheet covering her falls to her waist, bearing her breasts. I can’t help it. I return their stare.

“Haven’t you had enough?” She smiles and swats my upper arm.

“Hey,” I sit up and hold my hands up. “It’s not my fault you’re trying to entice me.”

“How did I try to entice you? All I’m doing is sitting here.”

“Well, I find that enticing.”

“You’re such an idiot.” She laughs. “Let’s get ready and head down to see what Ruth has prepared.”

“I have a better idea. Why don’t we go to breakfast? Just you and I?”

“Just the two of us?”

“Yeah. I’ll ask Ruth to look after Ethan for a while. It shouldn’t be a problem.”

I know I’m basically asking her out on a date and she knows it too. I can tell by the way she pauses to consider my offer.

It feels like an eternity then she finally says, “Sure, let’s go to breakfast.”

Before she changes her mind, I jump out of bed to start getting ready, and she does the same. She leaves me to head to her room and it feels weird for some reason that we are getting ready for the day separately.
