“Caroline! Really?” Claire rolled her eyes.

Noelle chuckled. “Actually, he joked about it, but I reassured him that was not the case at all! He was a good kisser. I just wasn’t into it for other reasons.”

“Well, I suppose a little flirting never hurt anyone. But uh, he doesn’t have bad breath, does he?” Claire looked curiously at Noelle.

They all shared a good laugh, and Noelle reassured her that was not an issue.

Eli picked up the girls and Niko after breakfast. He popped in to say hi to Noelle, and then they left for the beach.

Noelle went back to bed and lay next to a sleeping Demetri.He’s all I hoped for the last couple of months, and he’s here. He’s been so attentive, loving, and protective. I can’t focus on those three little words already. I have to give him time, give us time. Don’t rush things. Her mom’s wise words echoed in her mind.Everyone climbs a mountain at a different rate.Noelle ran her fingers through his hair. Her heart beat faster whenever she was near him. After a few minutes, he woke up and mumbled in Greek.

He swiped his hand over his eyes and sat up quickly. “Oh shit, what time is it? Do you need anything? I am sorry I slept so late.”

Though he spoke in English, his words were fast and panicked. Noelle just laughed and cupped his cheek. His English was excellent, but there were times like these when his accent definitely made him a little harder to understand. “Relax, it’s fine. I’m fine. And you needed your rest. Nothing is going on and I don’t need a thing. Well, maybe one thing,” she said shyly. She snuggled in close to his body. “Everyone has gone.”

“You do not give up, do you?” he teased.

She looked at him, feigning shock. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I just meant I needed… water. I just needed some water. That’s all.”

“Sure, that is what you wanted. I see. Okay, I will be back.” He left the room and was gone longer than she’d hoped. When he came back to the room, he carried a glass of water.

“What took so long?” She reached out her hand for the glass, but he held it away from her.

“I called your doctor’s office to make sure it was okay for you to have sex. I found the number on the paperwork from the hospital.”

“Demetri, you didn’t! Oh my gosh, how embarrassing!”I can’t believe he did that! I’m going to be so embarrassed when I go to my follow-up appointment.

“I had to make sure it was safe for you. Now, are you thirsty or not?”

She nodded her head “yes” and took a fewsips.

“Is this helping? Or are you thirsty for more?” He set the glass on the table, and before he could sit down, she grabbed him and pulled him to the bed.Forget embarrassment, I get to have sex!

“More it is!” he laughed and then their mouths met. Tongues collided, and they fell into the kiss as if no time had passed.

They tore off each other’s clothes in record time. Their hands explored one another, as if reacquainting themselves with something they had lost.

He was everything she wanted, everything she missed, and the one she loved.Nothing compares.She may not have had experience with anyone else, but there was no doubt in her mind, the two of them together like this couldn’t be any more amazing.When you are with the one you love, it’s that much more!She always believed that to be true and couldn’t fathom the alternative.

“I want you so badly, Demetri,” she moaned.I love you so much.

“I missed you so much.” Demetri replied as he took Noelle in his arms.

Noelle knew this was love and hoped he felt it too.

They cuddled for a while before Noelle sat up. “As much as I love being in your arms, we shouldn’t stay in bed all day. That’s all I have done for the last week. I need to get up and do something.” She tugged at him. “Come on. Do something with me.”

“I don’t want you to do too much. You have to get better.”

“I feel great today, especially now!” She grinned at him. “You don’t have to worry! We don’t have to do anything too vigorous or more vigorous than we just did.” She gave him a peck on the cheek. “How about we play a game? Or watch something? How about a short walk? I need to move, and I can show you around the area. You haven’t gotten to see much, right?”

“Yes, that is a good idea. Plus, I could use a coffee.”

“Alright, let’s go!” She moved the covers and stepped out of bed, energized and ready to show him around.
