“That’s the thing. I was nervous because it was my first time, of course, but I felt so much comfort in his arms. I felt safe. The fears melted away and I’ve never felt that way with anyone before. I’ve never felt comfortable enough with a man to let him do those things to me, to do much of anything with me. But with Demetri, it’s different. I can’t explain it. But for me, he’s different. Everything feels natural with him. I don’t know how else to explain it.” She shrugged her shoulders.

Caroline gave her a questioning look. “Noelle, are you falling in love with him?”

“I know what you’re going to say. It isn’t like I haven’t said it to myself. What I feel for him, I don’t know. Can someone fall in love so quickly? Maybe? And I know nothing will probably come from this since we live in two separate countries. But I wanted this even knowing what I know. I’ll be okay. Please, don’t worry about me. I wanted to make love to him, more than anything I’ve ever wanted in my life. I’ll be okay.” Noelle repeated those words as much for herself as she did for her friends. She wanted to believe she’d be okay no matter what happened.

“So, you were careful, right? I mean, he was prepared?” Claire mumbled and stumbled around the words.

“Claire is trying to ask if you used a condom. Please tell us you did. I don’t think you want any little Noelles or Demetris coming nine months from now,” Caroline blurted.

“Yes, of course we were prepared. I may be inexperienced, but I was careful.” Noelle offered. “I was super relieved when he pulled out a condom. It’s not like I carry them around with me.”

“Now that would’ve been a shock to hear.” Caroline hugged Noelle and then she and Claire told her about the rest of their evening.

They talked about their plans for the day and were supportive of Noelle meeting Demetri for dinner. “I know I just left Demetri, but I can’t wait to see him tonight. Is that weird?”

“You horny little toad.” Caroline rubbed Noelle’s head.

“Caroline!” Noelle and Claire yelled.

Okay, so maybe I’m a little horny. But I love being with Demetri. It’s not only the sex, though it was certainly an amazing bonus. He makes me feel… everything. I want more time together. I’m not ready for it to end before we’ve barely begun. I hope he feels the same way.

Chapter 28

CHARM-ING CHARCUTERIE ~Demetri~

As soon as he laid his eyes on Noelle, Demetri smiled. She was stunning, dressed in a white silky tank, a lacy black skirt, and black strappy heels. She looked incredibly sexy, and he wasn’t sure how long he could keep his hands to himself. He pulled her in for a kiss before he guided her to his car. “You look beautiful, Noelle.”

Demetri held open his car door for her, and Noelle climbed inside. “Thank you. You look amazing too. So handsome. I love the pink shirt.” She ran her hand down his arm, her fingers lightly brushing the material that was folded to his elbows, to the exposed skin of his forearms.

He stifled a moan and walked around to his side of the car.My body reacts with her slightest touch. I hope I can make it through dinner without ripping her clothes off and repeating what we did this morning. Now that I’ve been that close to her, I crave more. No one has ever felt so good. But she may not even be ready for anything so soon. That was her first time. She could be sore. I can’t push her, no matter how much I want; I need to be inside her again.

“How are you feeling?” asked Demetri as he drove them to his houseboat.

“I’m good. How about you?” she asked.

He chuckled. “I am good, koukla. I meant, how are you feeling…” He motioned to the lower part of her body.

She giggled. “Oh! I’m fine. Good to go. I mean, I feel fine down there. Demetri! Why are you asking me that? Now I feel like a weirdo.”

He clasped her hand. “No, do not say that. I was only asking because I was worried, since it was your first time. I want to make sure you are okay. I do not want to hurt you, Noelle.”

“You didn’t hurt me. It was perfect. Amazing!” She smiled and squeezed his hand. “And I’m fine. All good to go. I mean, you know, I’m fine.”

So you are ready for more, my little lamb. You are right. It was amazing. The most amazing I’ve ever experienced with any woman, and I hope to do it again and again with you.Demetri’s shoulders relaxed, and he leaned back in his seat. The drive to his home took little time. Before long, they were walking to the upper deck of the boat.

He surprised Noelle with a candlelit table all set up for their dinner.

“This is beautiful! Thank you, Demetri!” Noelle leaned over and smelled the fresh cut bouquet next to the candles. “Mmm, they smell lovely.”

“They are for you. Take them to the hotel.” He pulled out her chair for her to sit and then headed for the kitchen. He clicked on the sound system, and music played softly on the deck. Carrying a beautiful charcuterie tray full of fruit, cheese, kalamata olives, and bread, Demetri served Noelle. He’d included grapes and various types of cheese on the tray. He remembered Noelle telling him how much she loved grapes and cheese together.

He lit the candles with the lighter he pulled from the tray, and they sat and enjoyed a lovely meal together. “You like the grapes and cheese, yes?”

“Yes, everything is wonderful. These are my favorites! It’s so sweet you remembered! It’s all so good. I’m so full. Thank you!” She patted her stomach.

Demetri picked up a little white box with a blue bow resting on the corner of the tray and presented it to Noelle. As soon as he saw the piece of jewelry in the shop window, he knew it was perfect for her and went inside and bought it immediately. He was excited to give it to Noelle.

“For me? What’s the occasion? You’ve alreadydone so much.”
