“I didn’t say he’s doing anything wrong. I just think he, well, he probably...”

He leaned close to her face.

“Yes? You were saying?” he whispered.

“I...I just…”

The waiter ambled over and placed the check on the table, interrupting their moment. Demetri leaned back and paid for the meal. He rose and held out his hand to Noelle. “After you.”

She took his hand and stood. As they walked to the car, her breathing was heavy with desire. He drove her to an area high on a rocky hill overlooking the sea. Walking from the car to the edge of the lookout, she could feel Demetri watching her every move.

“This is one of my favorite spots on the island. The view is very nice. I thought you might like to see it, too.”

She took in the view. “It is lovely.”

The sun glowed in the sky and lit up the surface of the water, causing a spectacular sparkling effect. Noelle squinted when she looked directly at the water. She could see a few boats in the distance.

He stepped close to her to shield the sun from her eyes. He towered over her, looked into her eyes, and she willed him to kiss her.

Noelle reached up to move the locks of hair, shadowing the beautiful hazel eyes staring down at her. As she swept the strands aside, her hand brushed his cheek. He felt like silk against her fingertips. Not being able to help herself, she caressed his face. Demetri grabbed her wrist as if to pull it away but just held it in place. Time went by with them standing close staring at each other in that position, both breathing heavily. Then, with his other hand, he wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her close against his body.So good. So close. He unclasped her wrist and slid his hand down her back, resting just above her bottom. She shivered.Don’t let go.She ran her fingers through his hair. His leg moved between her legs, and he pressed his knee to her center, causing her breath to hitch.Oh…She pressed her body into the connection.

Bending down dangerously close to her mouth, he whispered, “This trickster, do you like his tricks?”

Her heart was beating so fast and her breaths were so shallow, she could barely answer. “I... I do.”So much… So, so much. More tricks. Please, give me all the tricks!

Demetri pressed his lips to hers. He swept his tongue along the seam of her lips and she opened her mouth, granting him full access. They fell into the kiss, their tongues doing a sensual dance, before he pulled away. He looked into her eyes. His hand slid under her sundress, up to where his knee had been. “Have you ever been touched here?” He pressed the tips of his fingers in the most sensitive area between her legs. Noelle was sure he could feel her wetness through her panties.

She shook her head no.

“This is natural, beautiful.” He moved his fingers back and forth, gently caressing her sex, as he began kissing her again on her lips, over to her ear, down her neck, and to the top swells of her breasts.

Soft whimpers escaped from Noelle. She didn’t know what was happening to herself. Never in her life had she felt like this. She felt a yearning between herlegs, in her heart, everywhere!I want more. I want him. He wants me too.But then he pulled away, and she gasped in frustration.

“It is probably time to go. I have some business to attend to at my club, but maybe we will see each other tomorrow.”

She sighed, frustrated he’d pulled away. “Yes, that... that would be nice. I don’t think we have anything planned.”

They walked back to the car, and he drove her to her hotel, mostly in silence. He kissed her cheeks as they said goodbye. “So tomorrow?” she questioned.

“Tomorrow,” he nodded.

DRUNK TEXTS AND GUYS WHO HOLD HAIR ~Noelle~

“That was it? That’s how he said goodbye after everything?” Caroline shook her head in disbelief.

“Yeah, tell me about it. Just when I think he wants me, he sends me off like I’m some little kid. It’s so annoying.” Noelle was pacing. She left out the part about him touching her between her legs. She shared a lot with her friends, but some things she wanted for herself.

“He wants to see you tomorrow. And it’s good he’s taking it slow. This is your first real experience like this. Would you really want him to ravish you and leave you with nothing else?” Claire gave Noelle a questioning look.

“Of course not. I mean, I don’t think so. I don’t know what to think because I can’t think with him. I don’t understand what is happening between us. He makes me crazy!”

“Just think about what you want,” Caroline said earnestly. “I mean, we all joke, but you know where meeting him could lead? Think about if you’ll be okay with leaving him in a week and never seeing him again.”

The girls were only looking out for her. She didn’t know herself if this was a good idea. But she was so drawn to him. She couldn’t just walk away already.

“That’s just it. I guess I don’t know. I want to have fun and be a little more free because I feel differently about him than anyone else I’ve ever been with. I need to figure it out. Of course, I’m thinking about afterward. This whole situation is confusing. But I feel like I need to go with the flow and see where it takes me. Maybe in the moment I’ll have better clarity.”When we were washing the sand off of each other today, I knew what I wanted. I had clarity. I wanted him. But I can’t deny I also wish for something long-lasting. Wouldn’t anyone if they had powerful feelings about someone? Am I wrong to feel that way?
