Page 83 of Arrow to my Heart

I make a mental note to plan that as soon as we get back from this mission. My girl deserves some spa days with massages, and my man deserves to finally relax without threats looming overhead.

At the sound of the front door opening,my palms begin to sweat. My heart races at the clanking of his keys being tossed in the bowl by the door.

I had a fucking drink and I’m still this much of a mess.Who even am I right now?

As Arrow rounds the corner into the kitchen, he gives me a soft smile and leans in for a kiss. He tries to pull back, but I take his head in my hand and deepen the kiss until he’s nearly bent over the island.

When I let him go, he seems dazed and out of breath, exactly how he and Laney make me feel all the time.

“Hello to you too, babe. You do know I was only gone for like an hour, right?”

He still hasn’t noticed the present on the counter. Clearing my throat, I hand it to him.

“This is for you.”

He eyes me and takes it. My palms are sweaty.Oh my gosh, I kill people for a living, and my palms sweat when I give a gift to the man I love. I’ve officially lost it.

“My birthday isn’t until April.”

“Just open it,” I say a little too hurriedly.

He rips open the package, and in the next second, he’s lifting the lid to the box.

“Holy shit,” he says barely above a whisper, looking from the box to me. “Fuck, Havoc.”

He takes out the black chainmail interlinked with a deep navy blue aluminum, brought together with a black ring and a locking clasp on the back.

“I thought it would be subtle enough to wear all the time, but it’s sturdy enough to hook to a leash. I know none of us are into marriage, but this is something I want with you and her too. This is a promise to you that I’m yours. Will you be mine?”

“You want to collar me?” I have no idea why he’s shocked. I’ve made it clear that I meant this for a while now. When I nod, his eyes go back to the piece I had made just for him.

“It’s perfect.” His words are soft and almost inaudible as he stares at it in wonder, running his fingers over the metal.

He places the necklace on the counter before taking my face in both hands.

“I’ve been yours from the first moment you kissed me. Since the very first time we shared Laney. Since you asked me to submit, and I got on my knees for you. I’ve always been yours.”

Our lips meet, and it’s as if that promise was solidified by the universe. I swear a flash of light erupts before my eyes as Arrow pulls me close. His hands fist my shirt until he tears it in two and I growl in his mouth, taking back control.

I shred his shirt just like he did mine and grab the jewelry from the counter.

“On your knees, Pet.”

Before I can even finish my sentence, he’s down and his eyes are on the floor like the perfect submissive he is. It’s been a while since it was just the two of us. I need to fuck him like I need air, the primal need to claim him after collaring thrashes around in my chest.

Unlocking the collar with my key, I lift it over his head and check to make sure it’s not too tight before securing it in place. I’m still waiting on a piece to hold the key, so I put it in the box for now. Besides, if it were up to me, he would never take it off.

The tanned skin of his neck is the perfect resting place for my mark, and he’s never going to be without it. I have to stop myself from swallowing the key just to ensure it.

“Up. Show me how pretty you look now that I own you.”

He gets to his feet, turning to face me. Dammit, that looks so much better on him than I ever imagined. I looked through sites for forever trying to find the right fit, and this one felt perfect the second I saw it.

It suits him so well, the blue reflecting in his eyes and making him look even more irresistible. I wanted to make it to our deviant room, but there’s no way I’m waiting.

“Pants off, now.”

I remove mine as he does his. When I approach him, I hook a finger into the ring of his collar and pull. A grin spreads across his face, and I kiss his smile as his hands wrap around my waist. His fingers bruise as they pull me close, leaving no room for air between us.
