Zane smirks at me, all-knowing and cocky as shit. “Aw, now, brother…do you think I’m fuckin’ blind?”

“I think you’re fuckin’ stupid,” I carp out, returning my focus back to the sky. “That woman is a menace.”

“You like chaos, Adrian. Let’s not get it fucked up. You would purposely fight someone just to get the thrill. You were always looking for something to give you that adrenaline rush.”

“She gives me a headache.”

“And a hard-on.” I clench my teeth together. “I don’t like it. However, Elena…would be good for you.”

“Don’t you have a thing for her?” I press, needing to know so that I don’t start mixing up my relationship with my brother. My only family.

“No,” he denies immediately. “Elena is like a little sister to me.”

I don’t need how, but whatever. I’m not going to question it.

“Things move on as planned,” I issue out, pulling my drink back to my lips and finishing off the contents.

“If that’s what you want.” I don’t answer him because I don’t want to lie to him. “I got your bachelor party all set up.”

“Cancel it. I’m not in the mood?—”

“Kira’s brothers are insisting on it while she goes off and probably crotchets or something.”

My brows pinch when I steal another look at my brother. “You’ve got to be fuckin’ kidding me?”

“I dunno,” he says with a shrug. “All I know is that you’re not thrilled.”

“It’s part of life.”

“Not yours.” He begins to turn back for the house. “You can do whatever you want, brother. You have my blessing.”

I don’t need it.

But I want it anyway.

Dubstep music,like I just walked into a fraternity party, hits my chest the moment I stride into a large white mansion with a million and one cars parked out front.

I can’t believe I’m doing this.

Zane called and asked for a ride, claiming he was too drunk and didn’t want to pull his men to give him one.

I thought they worked for him.

However, I still begrudgingly agreed and drove my ass to the address he gave me and kept it moving.

In and out.

That was my plan.

However, I didn’t arrange to become the center of attention to a bunch of burly men with beards.
