Page 49 of Venomous Vows

“He hated reading.”

“Does he know how?” I chime back, definitely not evaluating those consequences because Adrian peels the edge of my panty line and exposes me before his middle finger enters me in one swift thrust.

I gasp, and at the same moment, Adrian’s mouth lands on the column of my throat, pressing his soft lips into my flesh to shut me the hell up.

“I think he reads what he wants to read,” Zane offers up through the lapse of Adrian’s mouth and my eyes are forced to close from the sensations he’s caused.

My body doesn’t know which way to turn and react.

I know who’s standing behind me, but the way his tongue lashes out and attacks me sends me through a tidal wave of lust and rejection.

There’s no reason why my body needs to feel this way. No way it should.

Adrian has never wanted me.

And this is all a game over who can control who.

It has to be.

“I’ll keep that…in mind,” I respond back to fill in the space right as Adrian’s teeth scrape softly along my throat.

“Howdidyou get out of marrying my brother?” Zane asks, sounding as thoughhe’sthe one now curious about my love life. “He seemed pretty adamant.”

“Probably remembered how much he couldn’t stand me,” I divulge honestly, earning another one of Adrian’s fingers inside me. He begins to pump in and out at a steady pace, causing my breathing to hitch and my toes to curl.

“Yeah, but at least you were honest and real. Adrian is now going to have to sift through all these women to find someone he can trust.”

“He’s still getting married?” I ask, even though the man in question is assaulting me with his fingers and mouth.

Adrian hums his role in earnest when Zane verbally says, “Yeah. He’s hosting a dinner party on Friday for potential whatever.”

I snort my disapproval of the idea because who the hell does that? “I’m hoping you’re not gonna be there?”

“I am,” Zane drones. “I need to make sure that she’s tolerable at least if I’m going to be stuck with her.”

I bite down on my lower lip as Adrian continues to finger fuck me faster. “Mhm…that’s a definite must.”

“No one is gonna be cooler than you. But Adrian doesn’t need someone who’s going to make life full of jokes and pranks but someone to give him heirs.”

Fully aware of that.

“I’m already praying for the poor girl,” I manage to get out. Adrian’s thumb grazes my clit and I fight down the need to arch my back for more.

I know I shouldn’t be allowing him to do this, but apparently, our agreement is already starting half-ass backward.

I was supposed to be servicinghim, not the other way around. And why he’s here…Adrian has still failed to mention that yet, but I’m in between him and Zane’s phone call, both of which I want finished.

“Pray for me, too,” Zane replies. “Wanna do drinks Friday night? I can tell you all about it.”

“Your brother’s dating life is the last thing I want to hear about.”

Adrian chuckles in my neck while Zane laughs; for entirely two different reasons, I’m sure. “Just wait until I tell you half the shit that I know is going to go down.”

“All right,” I almost moan when Adrian adds a third finger. “Text me the time.”

“Perfect,” Zane beams. “I’ll talk to you later.”

“Bye.”
