“If tonight was any indication, I can’t wait to see what she does for our wedding.”

“About that…” He tangled his fingers with mine. “I was thinking maybe the Huxley Grand in Marrakesh.”

I stilled. “You were?”

He lifted a shoulder. “Why not?”

“I thought you’d want something smaller and more intimate.”

“I want whatever you want. And I have a feeling the Huxley Grand Marrakesh is what you want. It’s grand yet warm. Luxurious without feeling stuffy. Sumptuous…”

“Mm.” I narrowed my eyes at him. “And this feeling wouldn’t happen to come from a tip from a little Jay bird, would it?” I teased.

He smirked. “Maybe.”

I laughed. “I don’t know whether to be touched or disturbed.”

“Disturbed?” He jerked his head back. “Why?”

“Because it’s not the first time you’ve used your little network of spies to find out what I want. Kendall and the Birkin, and now Jay.”

He muttered something that sounded a lot like, “You have no idea.”

“Who was the photographer tonight?” I asked, only then noticing that she’d slipped out discreetly.

“Harper. She does some consulting work as a film location scout for Rain Shadow Productions.”

“Ah.” I tilted my head back. “So that’s how you know her.”

“She also happens to be best friends with Juliana. And her husband, Enzo, used to play for the Leatherbacks.”

“Holy shit. She’s married to Lorenzo Mancini?”

That gave me a whole new appreciation for Harper. If anyone could respect the need for privacy, it was the wife of an international soccer superstar. Plus, I assumed Nate had made her sign an NDA.

Nate frowned. “Yes. You know Enzo?”

“I knowofhim. He’s a legend. Kendall was obsessed with him when he played.”

Nate flashed me a wry grin as he tucked my hair behind my ear. “I can’t wait to mention that to Knox.”

I laughed. “Nah. Kendall only has eyes for him.”

And then it hit me. Kendall and I were marrying brothers. For real. I started crying again, happy tears.

“What is it?” Nate asked, using his thumbs to swipe away my tears.

“Gah! I wish I could call Kendall and tell her we’re engaged, but she already thinks we are, so it takes the fun out of it. Wait…” I stilled. “Was she in on this?”

Nate chuckled, tucking my hair behind my ear. “Only the fact that I wanted to surprise you, not that I was proposing. I’m sorry I ruined your telling her for real.” He kissed my neck, peeling aside my dress to kiss my shoulder. “And yes, she helped.”

“Mm.” I hummed as he continued his assault on my senses.

“If it were up to me, I would’ve done something lavish and elaborate. But since the world already believes we’re engaged, I had to be careful.”

“Are you kidding?” I faced him. “Nate, this is exactly what I would’ve wanted. It’s romantic and intimate, and the way you incorporated the song titles into your speech…” I scanned his face, wondering how I’d gotten so lucky. “It was better than mywildest dreams.”

He smiled, perhaps appreciating my own nod to his speech. “Good.” He swept me into his arms, carrying me toward the house.
