“Nope. Turns out I was her favorite student ever.”
I snort. “Oh please. You were a horrible student. She just chased you because you’re hot.”
“You think I’m hot?”
I slap his thigh. “We’re in a school.”
He waggles his eyebrows. “Being in a school never stopped you before from telling me how hot I am. Or was it how hot you were for me?”
“You’re a menace.”
He grins. “And proud of it.”
“Be careful before Mrs. West bans you from entering the high school.”
“Mrs. West would never ban anyone from the building for discussing sex,” the teacher from across the hall says as he enters my classroom.

The teacher steps forward and holds out his hand. “Bob O’Neill.”

Bob wrings his hands. “To be fair, we don’t want to take advantage of him because he’s famous.”
I cross my arms over my chest and stare him down.
“We want to take advantage of him because he’s a professional musician.”
I snort. “Well, then, okay.”
“It’s not a problem, Indy. What can I help you with?” he asks Bob and the group since the other teachers have now invaded my room.
Bob clears his throat. “Is there any chance you’d teach some kids a few tricks on how to play the guitar?”
A man pushes to the front of the group. “I teach high school band but my guitar skills aren’t the best. I’m more of a keyboard player.”
Cash steps forward but I block him. “You don’t have to do this.”
He shrugs. “I’m not doing anything else this afternoon.”
“Aren’t you supposed to be recording an album?”
“Jett’s AWOL and Gibson has a hangover.”
“Jett’s AWOL? Do we need to organize a search team to find him? The nature around Winter Falls is not a joke. He could be lost or bit by an animal or—”
