"The details…" he started and shook his head.
"How do you make them? I mean…how did you make them?" He asked her.
"I don't know…just a lot of hard work and stuff like that. I mean…I really loved it, so it didn't feel like hard work at all and I took these mental shots in my head. I look at a place and it is engraved into my mind and there is no way that I can forget it. You understand?" She asked him and he nodded.
"You're an amazing person, Lee," he said quietly but with so much underlying emotion that it seemed like this was something he always wanted to say.
"You really think that?" She asked him and he nodded.
"I know," he replied, then looked at the drawings again and sighed.
"So, yesterday. I decided to read up a little on drawing and find things that might make you want to draw again but that would depend on if you're still excited about it and you seem to be so…so I got you a few things," he said and got out two cases then placed them on the table. He seemed to be a bit unsure then shrugged.
"I mean, I didn't know what exactly you used so I got both the graphite and the charcoal," he said.
Lee stared at them for a long while and she started trembling and the tears started flowing down her eyes. She looked up at him to see that he was standing there with his hands in his pockets.
"They are beautiful," she said. His eyes lit up immediately.
"You think so?" He asked.
"I know so. They are beautiful," she said, and he turned to look at her.
"Ah well, I guess they have to be," he said.
"Why?" She asked.
"It's beautiful hands that will be using them," he said. His eyes were deep and suddenly darker than their normal dark brown. He was looking at her and she felt the yearning, the desire that came from him. He stepped closer, tentatively, gently, then he brushed his lips across hers. It was light, feathery, almost like it didn't happen then he pulled back and studied her reaction. She stared up at him and it seemed like he could see her own desire because he leaned down and kissed her again. This time it was bolder, more demanding. She kissed him back, pulling himcloser to her, wanting him with a sudden urgency that unnerved even her.
His hand slowly encircled her waist as he pulled her close to him. She felt the hardness of his entire body against her, and it sent shivers down hers. She reached out to hold him by the back of his neck, kissing him, wanting him and he eventually pulled away and stopped. Lee was mildly disappointed but at the same time, she was impressed by his restraint. They both stood there staring at each other, breathing heavily, the fire still inside them but they still had control over it.
"I…" she started speaking but he shook his head.
"Hey, don't explain anything. There's nothing to explain," he said and she laughed.
"I don't think there is either," she said to him, and he kissed her forehead then stepped back.
"I found this lovely place. I mean…you'd like it. Austin and I…we used to go there as boys. There's nothing there but music and there are drinks too but if you don't want to then you don't have to. We can just dance and…" he stopped when he saw that she was smiling.
"I'd like that very much," she said and he nodded with a grin.
"Is it okay though?" She asked.
"What?"
"I mean…that is a place you used to share with Austin and there might be memories trapped there that might prove to be…a little too much," she said to him and he nodded.
"I know that and that's why I want to go there with you. I want them to be replaced with memories that won't hurt," he said and she slowly nodded, not understanding but since it was what he needed and she wanted to be with him in a place that meant something, she nodded.
"Alright then," she said.
"Will you draw again?" He asked.
"I mean, there's no reason not to check these out. I mean look at them. They are top of the freaking line!" She said and he laughed a little.
"Alright then. I'd like to see what you come up with when you're done. Get ready, we're heading out," he said. She looked at the ground then back at him.
"Uhm, I'm not dressed appropriately and…"
