He laughed even harder. “You’re going to hold that against me, aren’t you?”

“Nope,” she said. “I’m pretty open to everything in life. Or at least to try most things. I’m not into putting myself in a silo and only eating one style of food. There is no fun in that.”

“There isn’t,” he said.

“I know you’re busy. As you can tell, I’m not so much. I can’t do much with my pottery yet. I’ve been doing some painting on pieces that were ready for it. Hopefully when I meet with the doctor tomorrow then I can try. I’m thinking if I cover my hand with a glove I’ll be good.”

“I’ve never made pottery before. Spinning a bowl or something it’s called, right?”

“More like wheel throwing or throwing a bowl.”

“Throwing?” he asked.

She laughed. “I love to throw the clay down on the wheel before it starts to spin. The sound it makes is like a gun going off at the start of a race.”

“I can see that,” he said. “Maybe I can experience it. I might have to add it to my list.”

“That will be an easy one to take off. Just don’t get anyGhostideas.”

He laughed. “You don’t want to recreate a movie theme? That could be a good item on a list.”

“Interesting,” she said. “We can think about it. NotGhostthough.”

“No,Dirty Dancing,” he said.

“We are too young for Patrick Swayze movies. A good conversation for another time,” she said

He turned to look up and saw his brother laughing outside his door. He hit the speakerphone to turn it off and put the phone up to his ear. “I’ve got to go,” he said.

“No worries,” she said. “Glad we got to chat. Bye.”

She hung up on him before he could say anything else.

“Dirty Dancing?” Hudson was almost roaring with laughter.

“Asshole,” he said.

“If Laine were here what would you have said?”

He shouldn’t have told his brother about that this morning either.

“Anus cavity,” he said, grinning.

“That works the same,” Hudson said.

“What do you need?” he asked.

“I’ve got a patient getting a CT scan. She’s having severe headaches and vomiting and is dizzy and confused.”

“I’ll read the results as soon as I get them,” he said.

“Thanks. I might have to airlift her out. I’m concerned it’s a brain bleed.”

He nodded his head. “The minute they pop up, I’ll check them out. I’ve got a biopsy to do in an hour. I’ll have them prior to that and if I don’t, then I’ll wait for them.”

Hudson left and he went back to work.

Carson didn’t have time to think of the sexy woman that seemed to be on his mind more than she should be, but he looked down at his phone at the French fries picture and burst out laughing again.
