He gets closer to me. “First, you’re going to tell me every place that asshole, Derek, has hidden money, and if it pans out to be right, I might not kill you.”
Chapter Thirty-Three
Audrina
Stavros is supposedly in the mafia.
Andreas is supposedly in the mafia.
I’m being held at gunpoint being asked where money is kept that I didn’t know of until we were getting divorced.
I don’t know how to tell these people I’m unsure where all the money is stashed. I didn’t go back to the home I once shared with Derek. I didn’t take very many things from the house besides my clothes and a couple of toiletries. I wanted out of the home as quickly as possible.
“I don’t know where any of the money is. I promise,” I beg.
There’s another hair yank and I’m looking with my face up at the man behind me. “Don’t fuck with me, little girl. You’ve got to know where the money is.”
I’m slapped again, but it is the front of my face this time. I feel my nose tingle at the onslaught of being hit again.
“I don’t know!”
There is the familiar cocking of the gun behind me with the cold metal on the back of my head. I’m trying to come up with a plan to get them to stop. I truthfully do not know where any of the money is. Even if I did know where it was, I couldn’t access it.
“You dumb fucking girl. You know he’s going to kill you, right?”
I’m looking at the man in front of me. The same man who pulled me into the warehouse to see his eyes as he talks to me about everything. I’m wondering if he’s the ringleader or is it the man behind me. The goons off to the side haven’t made too much of a peep.
“You can kill me. It still won’t get me to tell you something I don’t know. I can’t admit to something I didn’t know about until about a month ago,” I blurt.
The man in front of me is grabbing me by the neck. His hand is gripping my throat very tight, making me gasp for breath as my eyes get cloudy.
“Maybe we should all take turns since she loves to fuck the mob,” the man from behind me taunts. “I wonder if she thinks good ol’ Stavros will be her Prince Charming like Derek. You thought Derek was bad? Stavros has fucked so many women, I’m surprised his dick hasn’t fallen off.”
I don’t say anything since there isn’t nothing to say. Anything I say at this point is going to make matters worse.
Well, that is, until I remembered I had questions and wanted to know the answers to these questions.
“How much money did you guys steal with Derek?” I ask. “Also, how many times did you see him cheating on me?” I know I’m asking some questions that could hurt my feelings or get me killed.
“Like we would tell some bitch about the money?” The guy behind me grabs me and pulls my hair tighter against his hand. “Sweetie, he was fucking everything that walked. I’m surprised you didn’t know about it.”
“I didn’t know. I didn’t know about the money until recently,” I admit again.
The guy in front of me slaps me another two times after he moves his hand away from my throat. “Girly, I like you. Maybe it is because you genuinely didn’t know about the depraved shit your ex did or even your current boyfriend. I’m going to tell you some of the shit I’ve heard.”
I’m willing my eyes to stop watering. Only if I could stop crying, I could die with a bit of dignity. I never expected this to be my life, and I miss Stavros even more. If he were here, would I have been kidnapped still? Would I be held at gunpoint?
No. I know he would end their lives for touching me.
“Your man has fucked a lot of women and then fucked them over. He’s the son of the infamous family. He’s the prince and now you’re in his bed. This is just like switching from Freddy to Jason,” he snarls.
He pulls out pictures from his back pocket to begin to show me. There are pictures of Derek sleeping with a whole bunch of women. I try to turn away, but am stopped by the man who’s holding my hair.
I’m about to ask him to stop when the unthinkable happens.
