She’s still in her dress with her hair brushed out. She looks beautiful with her glow skin and kissed lips.
“Baby, you can’t testify against us if we're married.”
She nods. “I will do it.”
I’m looking at her brother, who raises his eyebrows at me in wonderment. “You better treat my sister right. She doesn’t deserve to be wrapped in this shit.”
“I know,” I reply before calling out to Shelly. “Shelly, we’re going to have a wedding. You can design it and do all of it with Audrina. You guys get fifty grand to do whatever you want.”
“Fifty grand?” Audrina’s voice is quiet. “Can’t we just do something smaller?”
I shake my head. “A Bilias wedding has to be big. We’ll do something small for you later.”
“I think you’re forgetting something,” Audrina whispers. I look at her with curiosity. “You forgot to propose.”
Chapter Thirty-Nine
Stavros
For the next three weeks, I have been working with my father regarding the wedding. If it is going to look like a legit wedding, some shit needs to get done first.
I was inducted back into my rightful place a week before my wedding. A lot of the guys in the family were happy to see me, but there were several that weren’t. I didn’t really care about what they had to say because I’m doing this to protect Audrina.
Audrina needs protection since she’s still the heir to all of the money which is still is being held up in the court. She hasn’t acted as if it bothers her, and I haven’t asked.
Every night, she’s cuddled up to me in bed after we’ve made love several times. There hasn’t been a night where she wasn’t spread out underneath me begging me for my tongue or dick.
I love hearing her beg for it. I don’t make her wait long. Just long enough for her to be so primed and ready to go that the minute I enter her, she’s screaming.
On the eve of our wedding night, I went to pick out the final thing needed for our wedding. Her engagement ring and her wedding band. I, of course, went through the jeweler my father has used to keep all of his women quiet and happy.
“Mr. Bilias, I have your rings ready for you,” George Monroe states from the office.
Once I had entered the office, he closed the door to show me the fifty-five thousand dollar purchase I had made.
The engagement ring combines different colored diamonds in different shapes, equaling five karats. The wedding band has all the same colored diamonds and equals out to two karats. I had the two bands soldered to each other to add the support needed for the rings.
“Do we like?”
I nod. “Thank you. I will make sure to let my father know of your good work.”
“I also threw in something a little extra in the box. It is my gratitude to you.”
I returned home to see our apartment was clear of all the wedding decorations. Audrina is currently out with Britney and a couple of other friends, getting ready for tomorrow by getting their hair and nails done. I want to make sure this experience is as relaxing as possible for her.
Shelly is fussing over the seating chart, and then when I walk into the den, she gets up quickly. “Stav, I wanted to ensure tomorrow is wonderful for you.”
I nod. “It will be.”
“Audrina said she’d be back in a couple of hours.”
I don’t say anything as I leave the room. There’s a knock at the front door, and I immediately see it is Detective Milgram.
“Mr. Stavros Bilias, I’m a big fan,” she greets.
“Yes? May I help you?”
“I hear congratulations will have been in order as of tomorrow.”
