Chapter 13
“I’m going to miss you here this weekend,” Ben says, leaning back on my bed as I pack an overnight bag. My dress is already hanging in a garment bag on the back of my door. Ben and Colin have been very attached to me since our threesome the other night. We haven’t slept separately since.
“Aww,” I say, tossing some underwear into my bag. “Are you and Colin going to snuggle up in my bed and watch a movie?”
“We might if that’ll get you home quicker,” Ben says.
“It won’t,” I say. “You know I still owe Alex and Mac a date.”
“Mac’s not even taking you on an actual date!” Ben complains, sitting up and pulling me between his legs. “He’s taking you to a wedding. I know you’ll be bored out of your mind while he socializes.”
“But he’s paying my bar tab,” I say, running my hands through Ben’s blonde hair. “Maybe I’ll get so drunk, I’ll call you and Colin for some phone sex.”
Ben rolls his eyes, and places his hands on my ass. “You really think ‘Master Mac’ is going to allow you to have phone sex with us on his date night? Guy is a modern day caveman.”
I chuckle. “Yeah, you’re probably right. He’ll probably just want to spank me all night.”
The doorbell rings throughout the house, but Gwen is in that part of the house, so she’ll probably answer it. I know it’s Mac, so I go to my bathroom and grab my makeup bag and toiletries. I would rather not find out what sort of punishments he would give for me not being ready on time. Sure enough, a page comes through the intercom system from Gwen saying that my guest is here.
I’m fairly certain Colin has told Gwen about our little arrangement, but she doesn’t seem put off by it. She just gives me the biggest smile when she watches Ben and Colin both kissing me around the house. I think she’s happy that Colin finally has a girlfriend around. Can’t imagine what she went through before when it was all male testosterone around here.
I zip up my bag, and Ben takes it off the bed, carrying it down the hall for me.
Gwen is chatting with Mac when I come into the foyer. I wonder just how much she knows about our arrangement. Colin had her drop off Ben’s comforter at the cleaners the other day, I’d be mortified if he told her what kind of stain was on it. From now on, I think I’ll be dropping the unmentionables off at the cleaners myself.
“Miss. Sullivan,” Mac says, taking my duffle bag from Ben and placing it on his shoulder and grabbing my garment bag. “Thank you for being ready on time. Your promptness hasn’t gone unnoticed.”
His tone makes it sound like he knows I was still upstairs packing. I just smirk up at him, knowing he’s not going to do anything about it in front of Gwen. I turn and give Ben a hug, and wave to Gwen. Mr. Snuffy skitters over to me to rub between my legs, so I give him a little scratch under his chin and tell him to be good.
“Tell Colin I said ‘bye,’” I tell Ben. Colin had to work later than normal, I’m kind of bummed I’m not going to get to tell him by myself. “I’ll see you guys tomorrow night. Give Mr. Snuffy all the cuddles for me!”
“See you,” Ben says. “Don’t let Mac’s fancy friends bore you to death.”
Mac grumbles at Ben, but ushers me out the door to his car with a hand placed gently on my lower back.

“You almost ready, Kitten?” Mac asks from outside the bathroom. We’re staying in his penthouse tonight, and he’s got a driver for us. Since tonight’s the wedding, Mac wants to still take me on an actual date tomorrow afternoon, to make up for whatever level of boredom we encounter at this wedding. “We need to head to the venue soon.”
“Yes, Sir,” I tease, finishing up the curls in my hair.
When I open the bathroom door, I find Mac leaning against the wall just outside. He looks me up and down and grins.
“I knew that dress would look beautiful on you,” he says, moving toward me, and placing a hand on the middle of my chest, playing with the diamond necklace there. “And this looks like it was made for you.”
“You know, I could have paid a year’s worth of rent at my old apartment if I pawned this necklace,” I say, looking up at him.
“Don’t you dare,” he says. “You’re safe with Ben and Colin, and I want you to keep this necklace for all the special dates I plan on taking you on, Miss. Sullivan.”
He moves his hand to my neck, where he squeezes softly. I melt against his possessive touch.
“You said we were going to be late,” I practically pant out. “We’ve got all night to play after the wedding.”
Mac smiles down at me. “Not sure how I’m expected to sit through seven hours of someone’s wedding and behave when I’ve got the sexiest girlfriend who is going to be next to me all night.”
“Think of it as foreplay,” I whisper as he bumps his hips against mine, and lifts one of my legs. “Now, Mr. MacKenna, I do believe we must get going.”
Reluctantly, Mac pulls away from me, but not before he steals a quick kiss from my lips, and ushers me out the door.
