Chapter Forty-Seven
Saint’ssideofthebed was empty when I wake up, which isn’t like him. Anytime he stayed overnight in my room, I would always be the one to wake up first to kick him out before the alarm went off and anyone else in the house woke up. Saint used to hate it and always fought hard by needing to get me off first before leaving. Which clearly isn’t the case today.
Rising, I quickly throw on sleep shorts and a tank top to search for him, my steps stopping abruptly as I pass his bedroom.
What the hell?
I instinctively step back for a double take, my eyes scanning every inch of his bedroom like I was in a dream.
Saint’s bed is gone. It’s just gone.
The room, once dominated by the massive black frame of his bed, now bears witness to the aftermath of its absence. The only way you could tell a bed was even here was the indentation marks where the broad bed legs once stood.
“Good morning, beautiful,” Saint’s raspy morning voice speaks from behind me, making me flinch. I turn, disappointed to see he’s fully dressed in sweats and a white tea shirt, although he does have a cup of coffee in his hand, which is always a plus. “I was just about to bring you this in bed and wake you for school.”
Confusion washes over me. “Um…. Saint. Where’s the bed?”
“I took it down and had it removed first thing this morning. The new one arrives later today.”
My mouth falls open with shock. “You took down your own bed? Why would you do that?”
He sets the coffee cup down on the side table and comes up behind me, pulling my back to his front and placing a sweet kiss on the side of my head.
“I didn’t like how it made you feel. So, I smashed it to bits and bought a new one.”
“You smashed it to bits?”
“Um-hum. The only thing I want you to think about when we’re in bed together is us. Nothing else. Just you, me, and my dick.”
My heart doubles in size at his romantic gesture.
“You did that for me?”
He takes my hand, pressing it to his lips. “Haven’t you realized it yet? I would do anything to make you happy.”
Oh my god. I think I’ve died and gone into romance novel heaven!
I slowly turn to him, darting my tongue out to wet my dry lips as I think of a way to thank him.
After all, it’s like Saint says, “cum before coffee.” And come he did, all the way down my throat.
Chapter Forty-Eight
Curiouslookscomemyway as I lean outside Lexy’s locker with a foot propped against one of the doors and my arms crossed. I must be giving out the impression I’m on the warpath as I wait for her to get out of class so I can take her home. It’s only been a few weeks, but I knew the second I stepped through the gates of Rose Bay Academy that I no longer belonged here. I just had to make it official.
I wanted to surprise her after asking Colton to pick her up this morning. I had pressing work to conclude in the city but intended to come here this afternoon to officially tell Mr. Wyatt I wasn’t returning.
It’s only been a few hours since I left her lying naked and freshly fucked on our new bed, and already the air is thick with anticipation of seeing her again. We’ve had sex so many times on it in the past week that the springs might pop out.
The bell rings, and students exit their respective classrooms and spill into the hall. Lockers slam shut, and laughter echoes with the hurried footsteps of students eagerly wanting to get the hell out of here. Then, like an unwelcome apparition, a familiar face appears, causing my skin to bristle.
Georgina.
Her eyes dance with delight, and before I can react, she closes the gap between us, her touch on my arm suffocating.
“Saint! Where have you been?” Her voice carries a mix of excitement and reproach. “You haven’t been at school or come over to my house in a while, and I’ve missed you!”
Shit. If Lexy sees this, I’ll be in the dog house for life.
