Page 126 of His to Ruin

Anyone else would want to slip into a new school discreetly but not these two, they want to make their presence known.

Lucas and Logan step out of the car first but I hold back hoping they will just walk on without me. To further my annoyance they don’t.

“For fucks sake,” I grumble when Logan opens my car door for me.

“Weren’t you the one in a rush to get here?”

“Can’t you two just go on in first and I’ll meet you in there? Everyone’s staring,” I plead casting my gaze over to Lucas who looks about two seconds away from coming over here and pulling me out of his car by my ankles.

“Unless you want grandfather finding out that we’re late on the first day on his watch I strongly suggest you move.” Lucas warns.

I sigh through gritted teeth as I drag myself unwillingly out of the vehicle. Logan wastes no time getting tongues wagging by placing his broad arm around my shoulder on my left side with Lucas flanking my right. He’s not as heavily tattooed as Saint and Caleb are but they both have the look of a bad boy none the less and would fit right in with them if they didn’t hate each other.

“Remember what you were told about the Garo’s and their associates? I would hate for anything to happen to you if you don’t take my heed,” Lucas warns pulling me along with him.

Ignoring everyone’s stares I continue to walk on into school but before I enter the hall I stop and turn to Lucas.

“I won’t stop talking to Lexy. She’s innocent in the feud you have with the Garo’s.”

When I spin away he pulls me back roughly by the elbow narrowing his eyes on me

“I’m warning you. If you even look in the direction of those three bastards I’ll have grandfather pull you out of here as fast as fucking lightening.”

I throw my arm out of his grasp. “I got it already.”

“Lucas back off.” Logan tells him taking me by the hand making my cheeks flame.

“Jordin?” a familiar female voice calls out excitedly. I turn to see Lexy walking up behind them.

Relief floods my chest instantly at the sight of her. I run to her hugging her so tight.

“Wow you really missed me ha?” she laughs hugging me back.

“Don’t react but I’m being watched right now,” I whisper into her ear. “Insist I go to the restroom with you quickly. Do it now and I’ll explain more when we get in there.”

She gives me a hint of a nod in understanding.

“Girl I need to pee so bad, come with me and I’ll tell you all about what I did over break. Quick before I wet myself all over the hall,” she says loudly enough for them to hear pulling me by the hand towards the restrooms.

Lucas doesn’t say anything but follows us down the hall taking a stand outside the restroom with Logan by his side waiting for me to come out.

“What the hell is going on Jordin? I’ve been texting you all week with not even so much as a hello back. I thought you had fallen out with me. And why are you with the two guys from the party?”

“It’s a long story and I promise I’ll explain in more detail later when we’re away from them, but Lucas is my cousin. I found out my dad is not my real dad. I was taken by a man called Ian who says he’s my grandfather and I had to move away. He took my phone to and that’s why I haven’t called or texted in days.” I rush out without taking a breath.

She looks at me like I’ve lost my mind.

“I’m sorry. What? You need to back up a second here because I’m lost,” she says her voice laced with concern. “And what do you mean you moved? To where?”

“To live with him in at his house in Pilon.”

“This is a total mind fuck. I’m goanna need a minute here to get my head around what you’re telling me here,” she says pausing. “I take it this also has something to do with that guy Lucas since he’s standing outside a girls restroom now like a creeper?”

“He’s here to make sure I don’t run away. And that I stay away from Saint, Caleb, and Colton.”

“What’s this got to do with them?”

“I want to tell you but I don’t want you to look at me differently from the way you’re looking at me now,” I say sadly dropping my hands by my sides.
