“You’re not supposed to last.” A small whimper escapes her lips. “And we’re not in my bed now.”

She tilts her head to the side, exposing the soft skin of her neck. Red curls, fanned out around her face, nearly do me in. It is either that or the way her muscles clench. Her cheeks are flushed, eyes glossed over with pleasure, and she isstillgiving me shit.

“Fuck it.”

I thrust as hard as I can. Casper gasps with a mix of pleasure and pain. I smile and then keep going while she adjusts to what I am doing.

My hands find their way to her thighs, still wrapped around my hips, and I squeeze tight enough to bruise her porcelain skin. Her only response is to tighten her grip and close her eyes.

“Watch me.” The order falls from my lips as Casper grabs at my skin.

She opens her eyes and bites her lip to keep from screaming when I slam into her body.

“Harder.” Her breathless moans fill the air between us, and I struggle to give her what she wants.

Her fingers dig into my chest, breaking the skin, but I don’t care. I’m too busy reaching down and pressing my hand against her pelvis right above our connection, needing her to finish before I do. About ten seconds after I make contact with her sensitive flesh, she starts to tremble.

Unable to hold back anymore, I thrust as hard as I can and watch as she falls apart with every move I make. Every muscle in her body is taut, and her mouth is open in a silent yell. Her eyes never leave mine while I follow her over that cliff.

It isn’t until I’m pulling out and disposing of the condom that she moves off the dining room table.

“Good game, champ!”

She slaps me on the ass and walks away completely naked.

CASPER

Embarrassed doesn’t even begin to cover how I feel as I walk away from Cole after the amazing sex we just had. There is definitely a burn on my ass from rubbing on the dining room table, which I feel with every step I take toward the stairs. I don’t stop walking until I’m in the bedroom with the door carefully locked behind me. Nor do I look back. If I do, there is zero chance that I won’t burst into mortified tears.

I hop into the shower and rinse off, hoping he’ll be gone by the time I get out. When I’m getting dressed, though, I hear him talking to someone on his phone downstairs.

“Crap.”

My phone starts ringing right as I finish getting dressed, and I smile when I see that my best friend Ridley is calling.

“What are you doing, Casp? I haven’t heard from you in forever,” Ridley complains almost immediately. “Shit’s getting ready to hit the fan and you’re nowhere to be found.” Before I can say anything, she keeps talking like her ass is on fire. “You’re missing everything. I can’t believe you’re not here to help me get through the training.”

At that, I have to laugh. “Ridley. I don’t know anything about dispatching. You’re better off confessing you need help to Kennedy. Otherwise, she’s gonna blow right past you in class.”

She huffs on the other end, and her hesitance tells me I’m right. She is going through training for dispatch, the same way my older sister is. They both already have their basics, but our county insists on using the advanced, specific emergency dispatches for each branch of emergency services.

“It’s important,” she says quietly. “I don’t want Kennedy to tease me about it. With everything going on in the world, it’s important that we do this right.”

“Kennedy is not going to make fun of you.” I put her on speaker and type a message to my sister while it sounds like Ridley drops her phone and starts cursing about traffic. “You really shouldn’t talk on the phone while you’re driving.”

“You’re on speaker,” she defends. “I got distracted by the Masshole in front of me who’s swerving all over the place.”

Snickering at her use of the wordMassholeto describe an out-of-stater, I take her off speaker once Kennedy replies to my text.

“I already talked to her; she’s going to be at your room tonight with takeout to make sure you have a handle on everything. She said to wear your fat pants cause she’s bringing pizza.”

Ridley sighs. “Thank you, Casp. I didn’t want to ask her.”

“That’s why you called me.” I look down at my slightly trembling fingers and take a deep breath. “Now it’s my turn.”

My face flames at what I’m about to admit, but I don’t have a choice.
