“Why are you mad at me?” She starts walking away and I follow her. She stops then sits down on the ground.

“You can’t say stuff like that when you don’t mean them.” What happened this summer? I sat next to her and she scooted over.

“Damn it Kate, stop moving away from me you know I hate when you do that.” She stops moving and it’s like she’s a statue.

“What happened this summer?”

“I don’t want to talk about it.”

“Did he hurt you I told you if he hurts you in any way to call me, didn’t I?”

“He’s my father Daniel, there’s nothing you can do about it.” Anger builds up inside me this bastard will pay for what he has done to her one day I swear it.

“That’s what you think. Katy when I said you are mine I don’t say that just for the hell of it, I meant it. And if someone hurts what’s mine they will pay for it. Now will you call me baby.”

“No.” Now I’m getting frustrated. I pin her to the ground and she gasped.

“Daniel get off of me.”

“No, I like that you are underneath me.” She flushes.

“Come on say it.”

“No!” I sigh heavily. I place my forehead on hers.

“I love you, Katy.” Her body went warm. She glances away then looks back at me.

“I love you too… baby.” I smile brightly then kiss her cheek.

“I want a present.” Kate laughs and it made my whole day.

“What do you want?” She says with a smile.

“A kiss.” Her eyes widen she looks away for a minute than back at me.

“Can I kiss you Katy?” She nods her head. I lean in and kiss her softly. She looked into my eyes and her eyes were sparkling like the sun was hitting them when it wasn’t. She leans up and kisses me. Her lips feel so soft. I move my hands to caress her face and her hands went to my waist and she pulls me closer. And the kiss deepens just a little bit. We broke the kiss. Yeah I’m completely fucked she’s the only one I want.

“Happy birthday, Daniel.”

“Thank you.” I lay next to her on the ground. Our fingers intertwined. I will never forget this day.

Present Day

“I want you to come with me to the casino, a package came for me.”

“Okay. What else do you have plans for today?” She asks like she had no care in the world.

“Nothing really. Christopher and Toby are dealing the trade and they might be a meeting other than that it’s a quiet day for us.”

“That’s good.” She gives me a bright smile how can she be this fucking calm like her life is not in trouble or anything.

“Can I drive the car please.” I sigh Katy knows I don’t let nobody drive my car. She does that puppy dog look.

“Pleaseeee.” I sigh.

“Fine, but please be careful.” She jumps up and takes the keys from my hand. We got in the car I’m nervous as hell my car is my life my baby and she knows that. She starts driving to the casino everything is fine until she speeds up.
