“I just want a normal life is that too much to ask for?”

“Not at all baby girl.” He lifts up my chin with his finger, I look into his eyes and he’s just as upset as I am.

“Everything is going to be okay. I want you to stay in the house for a few days.”

“Okay.” Daniel kisses my forehead. I place my head on his chest.

“How about we go see the kids I promised them that I’ll show them pictures of the baby.”

“Sounds good. Being around the kids always makes me feel better.” He grabs my hand and I couldn’t help the smile that appears on my face. Daniel kisses my cheek I flush looking away and he chuckles. Right when we walk in the house Nikki rushes over and hugging us both.

“Do you have the pictures of the baby?” Nikki asks.

“Yes I do. Let’s go to the living room so everyone can see the pictures.”

“Okay.” Nikki skips into the living room, we walked right behind her. Daniel sits on the floor with the kids showing them Tyler.

“He’s perfect,” Nikki says.

“What’s his name?” Jordan asked.

“Tyler.” Daniel says with a smile and the kids smile. Seeing Daniel surrounded by the kids is heartwarming and he’s very sexy with babies. My ovaries explode each time I see him with a baby. God I want to have his babies someday. Nikki looks over at me and she frowns.

“What’s wrong Nikki?” She walks over to me and kisses my bruised cheek.

“Does it hurt?”

“Not anymore, sweetie.”

“Are you sure it looks like it hurts?” I picked her up and place her on my lap.

“You don’t need to worry about me it doesn’t hurt anymore plus you kissed it so it feels better.” She smiles brightly, I look up and Daniel winks at me. Why does he have to be so good looking.

“You should marry Uncle Daniel.” Nikki whispers in my ear. I’m completely stunned I don’t even know how to respond to that comment.

“Is that so?” She nods her head with a smile.

“He loves you it’s not hard to see that and you care about him, don’t you?” She’s only eight how is she so smart? And mature for her age?

“Of course I do Nikki, but I just got out of a relationship.”

“Aunty Kate that was not a good one. Daddy says no man should ever put his hands on you and that you should never settle for anything less than a good man that will love and protect you.” Finn is raising her perfectly.

“Your daddy is right Nikki you shouldn’t, you deserve everything you want and more.”

“You do too Aunty Kate and Uncle Daniel is that man for you, I know it. All you have to do is tell him you love him and everything will fall into place.”

“You think so?”

“I know so, plus when they think I’m sleeping they talk about you all the time and how much he misses you.” I laugh.

“Already eavesdropping?” Nikki laughs.

“Don’t tell daddy.”

“What are you two whispering about over there?” Finn asks. Nikki glances at me and I give her a wink.

“Just having a little girl talk is all.”
