Thea was waking up when I was rushing downstairs.

“What’s the rush?” She asks.

“Nicole is in labor I have to get to the hospital.”

“Go go, I’ll tell the rest of the family.”

“Thanks.” I grab my keys from my pocket and got into the car and drove as fast as I could to the hospital. I ran inside and went to the desk.

“Looking for Nicole Thorn’s room.”

“She’s in room 104.” Nurse Johnson says she knows all of us very well. She’s been all of our nurse throughout the years.

“Thank you.” I ran to the room and all I heard was Nicole screaming when I got to the door. I open the door and Nicole glared at me and it was the most terrifying thing I have ever seen in my life.

“What took you so fucking long.”

“Sorry I was putting Lily back to sleep when I got the message.” I grab her hand and kiss her head.

“Your doing great, sis.”

“Alright Nicole one big push.” Nicole squeezes our hands as she pushes. And that’s when we hear his cries, the doctor places him on her chest and her eyes shine brightly when she sees her little boy for the first time.

“He’s perfect.” Christopher says with a big smile. I look at my nephew and he looks perfect, we have a new Thorn in the family.

“Did you finally choose a name for him?” I ask.

“Tyler Daniel Thorn.” Nicole says. Sweet fucking Jesus. I look away and wipe my tears away. I don’t even know what to say.

“It’s perfect.” Nicole smiles at me with tears in her eyes. I kiss her forehead.

“Thank you.” I whisper in her ear. We took turns holding Tyler when the door opens and Kate walks in.

“Where’s my nephew?” Kate says with excitement. I turn around and when she saw Tyler in my arms I saw the light in her eyes and man do I miss seeing those beautiful golden brown eyes.

“He’s beautiful.” She says with a bright smile. I place Tyler in her arms and fuck seeing a baby in her arms is a perfect fucking sight.

“What’s his name?”

“Tyler Daniel Thorn.” Nicole says. Kate looks up with a smile.

“Suits him perfectly.” I sat on a chair and I drift to sleep. I slowly opened my eyes and I see Kate holding Tyler. Whenever I see her holding a baby it drives me completely crazy she should be a mom by now, but she usually keeps me at a good distance and she has a boyfriend who I really don’t like. I want to kill the bastard I know he hits her she just won’t tell me she doesn’t want me to kill him she knows I would in a heartbeat. That’s why she keeps her distance from me because she can’t lie to me. I want to give her everything she wants and babies is the biggest and the most important one and I will be the one to give that to her. I just need her to leave that piece of shit. I know she’s at her breaking point it’s just taking longer than we thought. Being patient is not my strong suit.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” Kate asked.

“Because you look perfect.” Her face flushes and she looks away. Somethings don’t change and I like that. She gets up and places Tyler in my arms.

“I have to go.”

“Why?” She frowns and I know why. He has her on a very short leash. She leans in and kisses Tyler head.

“Aunty Kate loves you and she will see you real soon.” She looks up and our eyes met. She moves her head and I place my hand on the back of her neck and pulled her closer to me. Her breath caught and her eyes stayed locked on mine.

“Please don’t.” She begged and I sighed.

“One day soon I’m going to take you back Katy.” She gasped as I let her go and she walks out of the room like she was on fire and I smiled.

“Don’t worry Tyler Uncle Daniel will be taking Aunty Kate home.” I kiss the top of his head. I look up and Nicole smiles.
