“Because the family needs more babies. Uncle Spencer has two so does uncle Jasper now it’s you and uncle Daniel to have two and the family will be complete.”

“You want more big sister responsibility?” Nicole asks.

“Exactly plus uncle Christopher and uncle Daniel don’t have any kids yet so the family is not complete. Maybe you and uncle Christopher can have a baby.” Nicole’s cheeks turn pink. I like that idea.

“Yeah, I like that. Uncle Christopher has been happier since you been here he smiles more when you are around.” Okay, Nikki please stop talking. Nicole looks up at me and gives me a smile then looks back at Nikki.

“What’s next Nikki?” I ask.

“Finding someone for uncle Daniel.” I laugh.

“That’s not what I meant but okay that might take some time Nikki.”

“Don’t worry Uncle Christopher when I see her I will know if she’s the right one for him.” Nicole laughs.

“Okay matchmaker, what are we doing next?”

“Can I paint your nails.” Oh hell no.

“How about you paint aunty Nicole’s nails.”

“But I want to paint yours.” She says with that cute innocent voice with those damn puppy dog eyes, fuck me.

“Okay fine.” I look at Nicole and I gave her the death stare.

“Not a word.” Nicole laughs.

“My lips are sealed.” Nikki grabs the red polish and I place my hand on the table, hey when your niece wants to paint your nails you got to buckle down. Real men get their nails painted. Nikki starts painting my nails when my phone goes off Nikki pouts.

“Keep on going.” She smiles brightly and continues polishing. Nicole grabs my phone and places it by my ear.

“Hello.”

“Hey, it’s Toby this is my new number. Are you busy?”

“Yeah I’m watching Nikki is everything okay?” I ask concerned.

“Yeah.” He says softly something is wrong.

“He got your number didn’t he that’s why you changed it?”

“Yeah, but I’m good I swear.”

“You don’t need to hide this from us we can handle it.”

“I know, I just don’t want to be a burden to anyone. I’ll talk to you later have fun with Nikki.” He hangs up and I sigh.

“Uncle Christopher is everything okay?”

“Yeah Toby is just having a tough day, but everything will be okay.” When Nikki finishes my nails she has a bright smile on her face.

“You did a great job, Nikki.” Nicole says with a smile I look at my nails and she did do a good job.

“Do you like it?” she asks with a smile.

“I love it.”

“Do you think Toby would like a picture to make him feel better?”
