Chapter Four
Thea
It’s been a week since my mother sold me off to Spencer. I’m still upset about the situation, but I’m happy to be home, honestly it feels great being here. I hate that he gave me rules that I need to follow, but I understand why he gave them to me. What the hell is my mother up to? I put on my swimsuit and head to the backyard since the boys have a meeting, I jump into the pool and the water felt cold on my skin it’s a good thing I jumped in so I can warm up quicker. As I’m swimming I hear yelling, I stop and stuck my head out of the water. Spencer was yelling at one of his men and Jasper’s arms was crossed. When Jasper looked at me he looked relieved he nudged Spencer and he looked piss, what is his problem? Spencer storms into the backyard with his arms crossed.
“Didn’t I tell you, you are not to leave the fucking house,” he yells at me.
“I didn't leave the house I'm in the backyard it's part of the house, you can't expect me to stay indoors like your damn prisoner Spencer it's not going to happen.” I yell back.
“You should've told me where you were going.”
“You were in a meeting.”
“You could've sent a text.”
“Fine I'll do that next time.” I groan with frustration.
“He was worried Thea,” Jasper says.
“I get that, but I’m fine and I can take care of myself.”
“That’s not the point Thea follow my damn rules.”
“I have been, you know what fuck your damn rules I’ll do what I fucking want.” I dunk my head under the water and swam off. God he’s so damn frustrating. As I come up for air I get pushed into the pool wall by Spencer who no longer has his clothes on besides his boxers and Jasper wasn’t out here.
“What the hell are you doing Spencer?” I look at him with a questioning look. Spencer presses his body onto mine and I just want him.
“I’m not trying to make your life difficult Thea, I’m trying to keep you safe it’s why I gave you those rules. I don’t know what your mom has planned and that’s discomforting, she’s up to something and until I figure that out I need you to follow my damn rules.”
“Okay.” I’m not going to argue with him because deep down I know he’s right she’s up to something we just don’t know what the hell that is and that makes the guys on high alert.
“You’re not going to argue with me?” he asks shocked.
“No, you are right she is up to something and we need to be careful.” He sighs with relieve. He looks at my collar bone with a smile.
“That’s new, when did you get that done?” he asks. I have a four leaf clover on my collar bone.
“Four years ago a week after I left the house.” He nods his head with a sadness all over his face. He leans into me.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you when dad passed away.”
“I know Dan was a good man.”
“He was and he loved you like you were is own daughter.” I smiled, Spencer’s dad practically raised me and trained me so I know how to protect myself and if I wanted to be apart of his Mafia family he never pushed me to join and I loved that about him. He was the mob boss but he did have his morals, he’s the reason why there’s no drugs in our city and the guys took over making sure that no drugs comes through here. Spencer leans in and kisses my collar bone where my tattoo is and a shiver went up my spine.
“Sir, sorry to bother you but we found him.” Spencer’s head turns to the man very quickly.
“You found him?”
“Yes sir, we have him and he will be here in five minutes.”
“Thank you, I’ll be there in a minutes.”
“Who did they find.” Spencer looks at me shocked then at my collar bone and smiled.
“You are my good luck charm,” he whispers in my ear, with that he climbs out of the pool.
“Spencer who did they find?” I ask again.
