Did Six know? Sometimes, the gods’ creations took on a life of their own in unpredictable ways.
He said he wanted to comfort her. He wished for arms to hold her when she was sad.
And here he was, a man with an earth-shattering beauty, the sort that surpassed even the gods.
It wasn’t that he was physically bigger, stronger or taller. There were plenty others who exceeded him. It wasn’t that his features were the epitome of perfection. In fact, striking though they were, there were plenty of imperfections too.
Like faint freckles across the bridge of his nose. And a light scattering, like specks of stardust, all over his golden-bronzed skin. His lips were full and generous, but the lower was slightly more luscious. There were many more asymmetries to account, and Seven catalogued them all.
Greedily. Covetously.
For, the imperfections made him even more mesmerizing.
Unique.
Most of all, his beauty was in his eyes. In the way he looked at Seven. With complete trust and unconditional affection. It was in the purity of his untarnished soul, purely unselfish and kind, brave and true.
He knew nothing of physical intimacy, though the other Beasts had evolved to comprehend and even indulge in the act of procreation, the way animals did, with primal instinct. There were creatures of his Kind and even other Kinds, including gods, who vied for his attention, though he never gave it.
His attention and affection were reserved for Seven alone.
Now, he was a man.
A breathtaking, magnificent, glorious man.
Seven fell under his spell. How could she not?
Gods didn’t tend to practice self-control. Instead, they excelled in self-indulgence.
So, Sevenindulged.
She introduced Byakko to pleasures he’d never imagined, much less experienced. And in the process, Seven experienced new heights as well.
She reveled in every sigh, every hum, every groan and rumbly moan of her beautiful Beast when she played his body like the most exquisite instrument and made it sing. Soon, she became addicted to his scent, sounds, touch, and taste. When they rested, she held him always within her body, and she was wrapped protectively within his musky heat and strong arms.
She hid their evolving…relationship from all of the other gods. From even her Twin.
It was not unusual that gods fornicated with other Kinds, including their own creations. It was merely a physical indulgence and release.
It meant nothing. Only a pleasurable way to pass time in an existence that was immeasurable.
But Seven knew from the start, from the very first kiss, that Byakko didn’t view their union the same way she did.
The way he stared into her eyes…with such wonder and worship. The way his breath faltered and his hands shook. He was giving her more than his body in those moments. He was baring his heart and soul.
A Pure soul.
The purest and most precious of all in the Universe.
She knew this. She knew he’d Fallen. He’d selflessly given everything he was to her, expecting nothing in return.
Which was exactly what he received—
Nothing.
Though she readily shared her body, time and attention, Seven was a god. One of the fiercest gods in the Universe. Gods didn’t love for a reason. “Love” was a weak animal emotion, a concept invented by humans, the weakest of all creatures.
And gods could never be weak, especially the Twins.
